This is a 1965 Chevrolet K20 3/4 ton 4X4. I was told that this truck was built at the Freemont. California GM plant then sent to Helena Montana to The Superior Fire Apparatus Company for the body and suspension lift and then entered service as a fire brush (chase) truck. The Superior Fire Apparatus Company made fire trucks and fire fighting related equipment until the 1980s.   I think this truck had original air conditioning. the control switches and dash vent are still there but the under the hood components (compressor. condenser etc. ) are gone.  I drove this truck from California to Michigan (2600 miles) with no issues and a surprisingly comfortable ride at 60 to 65 mph.  There is rubber padding between the leafs of the springs and an aluminum firewall. I'm not sure if that was done at The Superior Fire Apparatus Factory or not. I have the original instrument panel which is included.  The original motor has been replaced with a 350 cu. in. V8. The transmission is a 4 speed manual shift. The gear ratio of the front and rear differentials is 4:57. The tires are military (37"x 12. 50R 16. 5LT). The original odometer reads 13. 03 miles but I assume it is 113. 03 miles.  I recently installed a new heater core. The seats are six way electric and quite comfortable. There is a lockable metal storage (tool) box included.  Some pictures show the original wood box floor. Overall it is in good shape for its age.  This truck is fun to drive and a real head turner.
