CLASSIC MINI COOPER 1991 LAST OF THE CARBURETTOR COOPERS

A unique opportunity to own one of the last of the classic 1275 carburettor Mini Coopers

This is a one previous owner from new car in an original and unmolested condition.

A well cared for and properly serviced vehicle. enjoyed by the first owner until 1999 when it was taken off the road and stored in (you've guessed it) a well ventilated and perfectly dry barn.

Farming business and lack of opportunity meant the car was unused until it was recommissioned in 2012 with just 69. 46 miles on the clock.

I was fortunate in being able to purchase the car in 2014 having spent the last decade trying to prise it from him.

I'm getting on a bit now and have realised that having sciatica and owning a mini do not work very well together. so we must part company.

The car is in remarkable condition for its age with no rust showing in the usual mini places. there are a few age related blemishes but overall in fine fettle.

The interior is as new. spotless headlining. no sagging seats. clean carpet.

All switches and gauges work as they should and the original tape deck does not chew up tapes and sounds Ok for the period.

New tyres were fitted last year as the original Cinturatos were showing their age a bit

Various hoses and ignition parts have been replaced. fluids changed and filters renewed.

I made the decision to treat the car to  a new RC40 exhaust system and do away with the Cat. After a professional tune up the Cooper now performs just as it should.  

(The original exhaust is still in reasonable condition if you wish to return it to factory spec. )

A mix of special options were supplied with the car from new.

Italian Job --    Twin driving lamps  (need new relay)

                        Bonnet stripes

                        Boot liner

Rally kit --       Mudflaps

Monte Carlo - Sump guard (never fitted and now needs restoring)

                       Locking wheel nuts

                       Fire extinguisher

A number of original period brochures. booklets. articles and contemporary literature come with the car

I will be truly sorry to part with my pride and joy and hope that it stays in the UK to be enjoyed.

I would like the buyer to pay in cash. on collection. but would require a securing deposit of £500 to be paid into Paypal prior to collection.
