Gorgeous 1978 Datsun 280Z with Chevy 350 small block, 700R/4 Automatic

In response to some questions I've received:

The subframe has been reinforced to withstand the torque of the larger V 8 engine.

The front brakes have been modified with 4 pot calipers and vented rotors.

The rear end is a limited slip differential and the ratio is more likely to be 3:90 than 3:73

The seals and such are such that I have never experienced a lot of exhaust in the cabin.

The interior is such that one can have a normal conversation in the car.

From a noise standpoint. it is quite comfortable.

The tachometer is a Mallory and has adjustable shift light and rev limiter (it fits in the stock location as depicted)

The suspension is fitted with heavier duty springs. sway bar. and aftermarket struts.

This is a stunning example that gets lots of attention wherever it goes. So many people can relate to this iconic vehicle and I am constantly told by auto enthusiasts that this is the nicest one they have ever seen.

I purchased it in March of 2012 from a reputable dealer in Tampa FL (Lash Auto Sales). I have invested in many enhancements since purchasing with the intent to keep the vehicle for many years. However. I am now faced with a re-location and will not have anywhere to store the car indoors. The car runs and drives great. It's a blast and a kick in the pants. It sounds awesome and it's very revvy.

**I Paid $13. 00 for this car on a competitive ebay auction one year ago and have invested $5. 00.

I have only driven the vehicle about 1. 00 miles and must sacrifice this investment as I am moving and do not have garage space for the vehicle.

When I purchased this vehicle. it was not equipped with air conditioning. I worked with Weber Motorsports to have a Vintage Air heating & air conditioning unit installed. It is fully modern and uses R 134 a refrigerant. In order to make it work. it was necessary to upgrade EVERYTHING in front of the block. I went with the black anodized Front Runner serpentine belt system which keeps everything nice and compact and adds the high flow water pump & high output alternator. This was a $5. 00 upgrade but well worth it for a black on black car with two small windows.

This vehicle is being sold as is where is. It's an older vehicle and has some minor imperfections.
