A true time warp piece that looks like it has just rolled off the production line. The front and rear chrome bumpers have a dazzling shine to them and all the trim. chrome. plastic and door handles are in stunning unmarked condition. The underside matches the condition of the exterior. being spotlessly clean. there is no doubt that this car has been stored in a heated dry garage and has never seen a rain drop. The original windscreen is still present with its factory sticker still attached. INTERIORIt's quite simply breathtaking to find a 70s car in this pristine and unrestored condition. There is not a single mark in the interior and the dashboard. renowned for cracking even at minimal mileage is still in perfect order. The blue seats are still well sprung. the door cards spotless and seemingly brand new. the steering wheel unworn or marked and all the wood trim in perfect order. The headlining is untouched. clean with not a single mark or tear. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThis early LS model received a 1. 5L down draught carburettor engine producing 75 BHP which still to this day remains in fine condition. There is a comprehensive service history tracking its minimal mileage and as such it starts up quickly on the turn of the key and idles away with no problem after cruising its 200 mile journey with ease to the 4 Star base. The engine is linked to a 4 speed gearbox which is in perfect working order. WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKESThe chrome hub cabs and original wheels are in great condition and wrapped in a fresh set of matching continental tyres. The brake discs and pads remain in good condition with little wear. HISTORY FILEThe Audi was first registered on 3rd September 1973 to a farmer who purchased the car from Eyebury Motors. the Mercedes-Benz and Audi-NSU agent for the Peterbough area. The original purchase invoice is still present and the dealer sticker still in the rear window. Bought as a retirement present the car was used briefly till its owner sadly passed away and it was passed down through the family and subsequently unused from 1991. Brought out of storage in 2002 the little Audi has been preserved and cherished by Audi enthusiasts and car collectors alike and presented at shows and concourse events. the last being Stanford Hall concourse event in which the car scored an incredible 134/140. The original service book is present and stamped up with its early main dealer service history which is further backed up with invoices. The original owners manual and books are still present including the period sales brochures.
