A nice well preserved Classic 1977 Fj40 Land Cruiser with vintage warn winch - Read carefully and bid with confidence.   Interior is very nice and I would consider excellent condition. OEM tools. jack. radio(original speaker present but not hooked up) and control for winch all there. The winch motor will need to be replaced. Everything else is fully functional. All dash illumination lighting works. Has low Mileage. but no way to fully document this. The door pin closures show limited use compared to others. My mustard 78 fj40 has 108 K and easily 4 times the wear. The vehicle was desmogged by a previous owner  and done correctly. Most of the smog equipment was left in place. barring the smog pump(have vintage 78 smog pump and bracket that can go with vehicle - needs rebuilding) and a couple vacuum switchs located around the front of the valve cover. This is a low altitude model below 4000 feet operation. I was told the carb was rebuilt by Jim C by a previous owner and operates very well. Is a strong running truck. However it does use a little bit of oil and smokes faintly. I beleive replacing the valve seals would resolve this. Common occurence if a vehicle sets for longer periods of time. which would also explaines why the brake calipers leak slightly.  This truck rides as you might expect. but the OME shocks and neew bushings help the ride tremendously. The interior. I believe. has the original paint as well as approximately 75 % is exterior original paint. Truck will require a new head liner. The head liner is missing. The hood and all fenders have been repainted and do not color metch very well except at a certain angle and lighting. The frame is exceptional. with only light surface rust in certain spots. There are only a couple small cancer areas on this truck. I have added photos showing these. It appears when the driver side rear fender was repainted an antenna mount was removed and patched - looks to be done competently. Some one at some point maybe added pin stripping and it has also been covered. Looks to have been kind of a western theme with skinny curved stripping on the sides. It appears the driver side was bumped at the front fender(see pic). lower  apron below the side vent. There is one small crack /impression on the fiberglass top toward the front. I put a dab of tar to seal it good. it is not penetrated the top just an impression fracture. It's about the size of a golf ball in length. Not sure how it happened. Only took the golf course one time.
I think the truck has lived most of its life sheltered and rarely driven for longer periods of time. I have always driven it an average of  2 to 3 times per month when nice outside. I have always garaged it.
I really have a passion for Land Cruisers and just have to pair back the number I have. My weekend driver is a 78 mustard fj40. Please ask any questions or concerns before bidding. The reserve is set low for an  investor grade Fj40. I will not reveal the reserve price. because it is more than adequetely set to be met.
Vehicle is being sold as is and locally so bidding could end at anytime. Buyer is responsible for shipping. however. I will assist any way I can.
$500. 00 USD nonrefundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close and balance of payment cash. cashiers check or bank wire within 3 business days of auction close. Cannot release vehicle and title uitil payment is cleared my bank. Shipping only to lower 48.
I have described this vehicle accurately and honestly to best of my ability.  Please ask if you have any  questions or concerns.  I want you to be happy with your purchase. I strongly recommend coming to see the vehicle first hand to appreciate just how nice a cruiser this is.
Remember.     "never drive faster than your angels can fly".
