1938 Rolls Royce 25/30 Thrupp & Maberly Sports Saloon.

A beautifully proportioned car which has undergone massive expenditure in the past few years Indeed £28. 00 was spent with Marque Specialist Mark Taylor in 2004 alone. Since then the car has also been regularly looked after by Colbrook's. A large file of bills listing the works undertaken comes with the car.
The coach work is an elegant sports saloon by Thrupp & Maberly with particularly pleasing proportions. The paint is in superb condition with the black portions having been recently resprayed to a high standard. The sides are dark green & also in excellent order.
To the interior is heavily patinated original brown leather with a few age related cracks etc. but not enough to diminish the "gentleman's club" feel of the interior. The wood work is of burr walnut & has been refinished to a high standard & is of a quality one rarely finds in these cars. The car is fitted with overdrive making for relaxed long distance cruising.
Ownership of the car may be traced from new covering the 8 in total owners of the car including a Baron in Belgium who lavished care & money on the car. The engine bay is well detailed & the car runs as one might expect from such a machine. The boot lid fold out & down to form a platform for additional luggage. Pleasingly all small tools are present in a recessed panel in the boot lid. To the front is a large spot lamp to augment the twin head lamps.
