Sadly up for auction is my classic MK1 Mini "Mac"

It is with great regret that I have to sell him but as a classic VW enthusiast a new project forces sale :(

Mac is a 1962 MK1 Morris Mini

He's been my daily driver for a year now and has never let me down.

Mac's previous owner looked after him for over 28 years before letting him go to a new home !

As you can see from the pictures he's in reasonably good shape for a 51 year old chap.

As far as im aware from the previous owner Mac is original and still running his 848cc engine.

Being a classic he's tax free :)

I MOT'd him back on the 11th of Jan. He passed with only five minor advisories. these include a slightly reduced headlamp output and a "little harsh" sounding horn ?? Not quite sure what they expected from a 51 year old mini ? Anyway. he's good until Jan 10th next year :)

Since owning Mac I have spent the best part of £1000 on a full service. replacing the front wheel cylinders. replace and adjust ball joints. two new front tyres and other minor works.

More recently I have had his engine converted to run on unleaded fuel. works included skim. new valves and guides and new gaskets !

His interior is oringinal and in reasonable condition for his age. The rear seat has a tear (please see photo) but the front ones are still good. There are no seatbelts in the rear. I do have them but never got round to fitting them. If the price is right I'm happy to include them in the sale. The dash and dials are all original. as is the steering wheel and the push button start down on the floor. His front windows are sliding and door handles are the original wire type.

Externally he could do with a little bit of TLC. Rust is minimal with the worst part being along the bottom edge of the boot lid. The paint is slightly faded but Im sure would polish up nicely with some elbow grease. I like to think of him as rolling project.

Mac is a great. honest little car whom will be sadly missed. he's reliable. roadworthy. economical and very cheap to insure.

Im happy to answer any questions you may have and likewise if you'd like anymore pictures I'll do my best to send what you require.

I reserve the right to withdraw from auction at anytime.

Viewing before bidding would be highly recommended. please dont waste my time or yours. you are bidding to buy not just to come and have a look !

I require a £200 non returnable deposit via Paypal within 24hrs of the auction end. with the remainder being paid in cash upon collection.

Thank you for looking.

Good luck and "Happy Bidding"
