1976 R REG ROVER RANGE ROVER CLASSIC 2 DOOR GREEN 12 MONTH MOT for sale

1976 R reg Range Rover Classic 2 door. ndicated mileage 1197 (not original) 4 speed manual gearbox with Fairey overdrive. Drivable. ust passed MOT. Approx ten years ago the previous owner undertook a full body off restoration. Original chassis. rossmember and turrets were galvanised. teel body structure nicely rebuilt with all rusty panels replaced and then heavily waxoyled. Axles refurbished. rakes replaced. iscs are cross drilled. ads new. allipers refurbed. Body was resprayed in non metallic British Racing Green but is now showing various marks and really needs a respray. Upper and lower tailgates seem to have been renewed at this time. Wheels are original Rostyle. yres matching Avon Ranger A/Ts. I believe the speedo was new at this time. he indicated mileage of about 2000 is all it has done since. At the same time he choose to fit a non turbo Mazda Perkins 4. 182 engine. ow mileage. xcellent condition. ree of oil leaks. asy starter no excessive smoke emissions. He also converted the rear body to a commercial. ith no side windows. here is a beautifully made plywood floor and a box section half bulkhead. he rear wheel arches are very well fabricated. ut not to original shape. The interior has carpets and door cards replaced with acres of aluminium chequer plate. My intention is to refit a original 3500 V8 petrol engine (the V5 was never changed when the diesel engine was fitted). I also intend refitting sliding side windows and returning the rear body to standard. ith full carpets and trim to period spec. I have serviceable used items available to carry this out. ut equally could fit EFI v8. speed box. 00 tdi or 300 tdi power units. The advertised price is for the Range Rover as pictured. n its current. OTd condition. It could be sold as is. r completed in various different specifications at extra cost.
