1964 MORRIS MINOR 1000 BLUE IN VERY GOOD ORDER 4 OWNERS LOW MILEAGE WITH HISTORY for sale
Current customer rating: (394 votes ) based onThis car is an original Trafalgar Blue car which was dispatched to Wadhams Ltd. of Waterlooville in January 1964. This car has four recorded owners on the logbook.
It benefits from a replacement gold seal engine fitted around 1985 and the mileage now showing is around 26000 miles. It has a clear MOT until February 2017 with the last ten years MOT history to back its low mileage and usage.
There are bills back to the 1980s for the engine and bodywork repairs including wings. In 2000 the car was fitted with a reconditioned gearbox and throughout this car has been very well looked after since.
This car also has a number of sensible upgrades making it a very usable example. It has a Moss Brothers disc conversion along with a brake booster and remote brake system reservoir making it stop very well indeed. It has an upgraded alternator rather than the original dynamo and aftermarket gauges fitted that show oil pressure and engine water temperature. There are also modern (ish – fitted in the 80's) font inertia seat belts fitted. The full exhaust system was replaced within the last year.
This car is very solid and has had the welding work carried out over the years as required. It has been recently waxoiled underneath ensuring that it is ready for many more years of fun motoring.
The interior is in very good order and nice and bright with blue carpets and contrasting blue and white door linings. The headlining is in very good order. There is a tow bar fitted although if you prefer this can be removed.
The paintwork is good and the car presents very well. It is not perfect but very presentable with a nice patina and it will be an asset to any owner and a real crowd draw at any show.
The car has an age related number plate (CSU 655) as it was off the road in the 1980s when the DVLA moved to a computer based system. It was returned to the road in 1986. The heritage certificate confirms the cars age and details which all match.
Any inspection is of course welcome and encouraged. as is test drive.
We are confident that if you are in the market for a very good usable example of these increasingly collectable motor cars then this one will not disappoint.
