1959 Lincoln Continental MKIV Convertible Must See!!!

Sinatra. and wonderful Elizabeth Taylor have owned a similar year model to this one as their choice ride; and anyone can see why! The ever-classic Lincoln Continental has always been associated with luxury. comfort. sophistication. and style.

This beautiful 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV convertible has been restored to the original specs and is perfect to be used for daily driver conditions. It has only been used recently for Sunday drives and driven in a handful of parades.

A little background first.   The beautiful automobile was purchased at the Houston Classic Auction in Seabrook TX. in 2011.   The car was restored prior to that by a car collector with impeccable taste and attention to detail.

This Lincoln was restored in 2010 with a welded steel body that is laser straight and repainted in the proper factory correct “Bolero” red color for 1959. Just prior to the purchase a new Haartz black cloth top (see their website here for the quality work that they do http://www. haartz. com/en/ )was installed with the correct trim caps to be shown when the top is down. If features fender skirts and the original hubcaps.

The incredibly roomy interior features the correct Code 946 Scotch grain leather in black and white across the six way deep power seats. a padded instrument panel. deep pile carpets. all of which are in excellent condition.

Power windows. power antenna. power steering. and power brakes. all of which are in great working condition.

The engine is 430 cid. 350 horsepower V8 powers the original 3 speed TurboDrive automatic transmission. A new 4 barrel Holley carburetor has been installed in the last month and makes the car hum! The car drives like a wonder and shifts smoothly. There is only 70. 00 miles on the engine.

Recent work include the following but is not limited to : New canvas top (2/21/11). new brake light switch (10/6/10). new fuel lines (10/14/10). refurbished master cylinder. replace choke spring and adjust settings. test brake booster and vacuum (10/15/10). replaced both front brake wheel cylinders. hoses. shoe tension springs and shoe return springs (10/16/10). replaced rear brake lines (10/19/10). new convertible top cylinder. repaired relay to horn (111/1/10). replaced lower radiator hose (5/11/12). new battery(06/04/12). replace front suspension upper and lower control arm bushings (08/30/12).

Also the interior recently has been detailed. turn signals repaired. cleaned all door jams. repaired a vacuum leak on engine. new fuel filter. repaired gas tank. compound waxed exterior.

During this time it has been garaged from the weather but routinely turned over to keep the engine in good condition as well as the batter charged.

All receipts from the previous owner will be included for the work done such as the brakes and master cylinder upon request.

I have decided to part with this gorgeous automobile only because I have elected to pursue another project.
