1984 AUSTIN MINI 25 SILVER RARE LOW-MILEAGE LIMITED EDITION CLASSIC MINI

Hello and welcome to this listing for a very rare and superb example of the limited-edition Mini 25. produced in 1984 to commemorate the Mini's 25 th year in production. Around 3500 were built for the UK market. and only 155 are still licensed for use on the road. according to the 'How Many Left' website! It's completely standard in every way. and still has the original factory wheeltrims. cassette player with rear shelf-mounted speakers. '25' steering wheel. and superb velour interior with embossed 25 logos that hardly looks used.

I've had many Minis. so I know their pitfalls. but I have to say that I haven't seen another Mini 25 in this condition for decades. I bought this pampered and always-garaged Mini last year from the lovely ORIGINAL AND ONLY lady owner (who told me that she leathered it off every time it got wet!). and intended to keep it for good. but unfortunately a change of circumstances means that I can no longer keep this fantastic little car. that can only go up in value. It's never had any panels replaced or welding. and you can see from the photos that all the seams. scuttle. etc. are in remarkable condition. Floors. sills. etc. are equally superb. I had the windscreen rubbers and inserts replaced recently. and took a photo of the windscreen flange while the glass was out - unbelievably rust-free for a Mini nearly thirty years old!

It drives like new and still sounds and feels crisp on the road. I don't think it would be possible to find a Mini with a better unwelded bodyshell than this one. The Mini has been stored off-road in the owner's garage for some years. as she had bought a Clio. but couldn't bear to part with the Mini. It's been periodically MOT'd. and has been run occasionally to keep it sweet. The original owner's pack is intact. with Mini 25 handbook. cassette-player instruction book. etc. . and I also have the original old-style logbook that was issued when the Mini was new. Mileage is showing at 11. 00. but this stuck when it was rolling over from 10. 99. I have a brand new correct Rover speedo to fit. still in its box. which the next owner can have.

The Mini 25 was the first Mini to be fitted with 12-inch wheels and disc brakes. so it stops well. and is quite lively. with the 1000 cc engine. Anyone who wants a really fun to drive classic Mini in superb unmessed-with condition will have to go a long way to find one better. and this rare limited-edition is sure to go up in value. like all other classic Minis. as the years go by. I might consider a cheap part-exchange. and I'm open to reasonable offers. but I'm not going to accept an insulting figure. as I do know what they're worth and consider that it's worth every penny of the asking price!!
