A fantastic 1950 Ford F 1 pick up. never before offered in the UK. This car was built by a retired pro drag racer to relive his early days in the hot rod / drag racing scene on the West Coast. It has the original flattie V 8 with period additions like the beehive oil cooler. chrome studs etc. The rebuilt engine just ticks along with a lovely rumble. The detail is great even down to correct fifties red translucent plug wires. This guy was all about authenticity. She still has a period 4 speed crash box. which lives up to it's name! New brakes. which work very well. springs. shocks. exhausts. The cab is beautiful. as new. including headlining. door cards etc. The floor has been replaced with a proper replacement panel. not just flat sheet. All the chrome including the badges. bumpers etc have been replaced as necessary. A nice period touch are the Model A rear lights.
This truck is a real one off. not your standard rust bucket or over restored rod but a homage to the early years of rodding. built by someone who was there. She isn't show standard. but as good as you can get for a street truck. People who know will understand. but for the uninitiated these trucks drive like the period vehicles they are. so don't expect it to handle like a modern BMW. You can also expect lots of hoots. thumbs up and envious glances!
V 5 and of course no tax. or MOT required. Priced to sell quickly. tyre kickers. low ballers. fantasists. lets not waste each others time please. Trades or P/X will be considered.
