SELLER REMARKS

This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is just plain nasty. Professionally built and packing more than 450 horsepower. it's the car most guys dream of owning but never quite get around to it. If you like having the biggest. fastest. meanest car on the streets. there aren't many that can measure up to this one!

There's no avoiding this Mustang and its mostly authentic look. It's like the 1970 Mach 1 went to the gym and lost its baby fat. Hunkered down over its suspension. the sportsroof bodywork looks better than ever in bright Grabber Blue with black accent stripes. At a glance. it looks totally stock and beautifully finished. wearing all the right hardware for 1970's coolest Mustang: chin spoiler. hood scoop. blacked-out tail panel. a rear wing. and hood pins. Fit and finish are exemplary. as you'd expect for a pro build. and the gorgeous blue paint is shiny and smooth with a look that's pure Blue Oval performance. Add in brilliantly chromed bumpers. correct Mach 1 rocker panel trim. and a generally mean attitude. and you have one of the best-looking Mustangs we've ever seen.

The interior got a similar makeover. keeping to the stock look for the most part. Correct black seat covers. new carpets. and proper door panels with woodgrained inserts all give this Mach 1 a fresh from the showroom look. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is a little fatter and maybe a little smaller in diameter than you'd get with an original car. but it's a nice upgrade that makes it feel a bit more contemporary. You'll also note that there's a Hurst shifter in the center. now sporting five gears instead of the usual four. one of the few tipoffs that there's something special underneath. The original gauges are still monitoring the vitals and we kind of like that they left off the usual aftermarket dials. helping with the sleeper effect (if a car that looks like this could possibly be a sleeper). This car has factory A/C that was retained during the build and upgraded with modern hardware working behind the scenes. as well as a powerful AM/FM stereo system that sounds pretty good. The trunk is neatly finished in matching black carpet. as well as a battery box that also happens to be Ford Blue.

While the hood stripes say '351. Keith Kraft supplied one of their Windsor-based 418 cubic inch stroker motors. which is rated a 459 horsepower and 475 pounds of torque. With a full roller valve train and topped by a Holley carb and aluminum intake. it'll incinerate the tires with just a tickle of the accelerator. The hood scoop is functional and the engine is a tight fit in the Mustang's engine bay. but thanks to careful engineering and workmanship. it looks easy. Special care went into the design of the cooling system so it could handle the rigors of the Texas heat. and with a massive aluminum radiator. a big flex fan. and a serpentine belt drive system. we're happy to report that this one runs cool no matter what the circumstances. Block-hugging headers feed a Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds like Daytona and the drivetrain was built to take the strain. featuring a 9-inch rear with a Track-Lok inside. lowered suspension. and 4-wheel disc brakes. 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels are the only sensible choice. and are now fitted with 205/60/15 front and 225/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials.

Words and pictures can't possibly prepare you for a drive in this Mustang. With an awesome look and huge performance. it's fresh. fast. and ready to impress. Call today!
