1978 Fiat Spider Convertible- eligible for club rego
This Convertible was designed and badged by Pininfarina. It has a rear seat - suitable for children. Mechanically it is the same as the Fiat 124 making it an affordable classic to run. This one has had a fresh soft top that needs a new plastic rear window - material supplied. The work required is body and rust treatment. The engine. gearbox & general mechanicals are fine. The font end damage does not pass the axle line. that is. the car remains straight. The bonnet in the picture is 2nd hand and the original damaged bonnet comes with it. It has the large american bumpers that I wasn't planning to use. The newer (post '78) bonnet fits with later hinges & there are plenty of parts for sale - including body repair sections. Whats in short supply is the cars themselves - usually around 12K.
