Up for Auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden. Colorado. This 1969 Shelby GT 500 with 58. 00 original miles has been in my collection for over 25 years. I hate to part with it but I have other Shelby's coming in. You can pick up where I left off. The previous owner had a 428 SCJ with a B&M racing C-6 transmission in the car before I bought it. He also changed the rear end gears for the 1/4 mile. I know he ran it at the drag strip but not much. Fortunately when I bought the car he rebuilt the original numbers matching motor and installed it. The original C-6 was replaced with a C-6 out of a GT 390 car. I have been the custodian of this Shelby for all of these years. Unfortunately I was never able to finish it for one reason or another. I did. twice a year start it up and ran it through the gears. Since then I have pulled it out of long term storage and have checked all of the vitals. then road tested it around the neiborhood. There are no noises or leaks. however it is burning oil out of the drivers side exhaust. There are no signs of heavy collision or rust what so ever on this car. There is one piece of metal on the drivers side torque box that got caught on something and got bent but will be an easy fix. All of the interior is original and is in great shape for a 40 year old car. The Marti report says that it is a Gulf stream Aqua air conditioned car. The previous owner had made a poor attempt to do his own paint work. The car will need to be sanded down and redone. again there is no body damage or rust! Please check out this Youtube clip.
