1956 Mercedes 220s ponton.

Hi this car belongs to my son. it is a ongoing restoration in the fact that it has been restored to a level so that it is useable and driveable. but still has work to be done. to make it perfect.

Work done: resprayed. new brake lines. new fuel lines. re-conditioned petrol tank. and re-cored radiator. new electronic ignition. and fuel pump. ew tyres and tubes. also has several spare wheels and tyres to go with it. new battery. seats re-trimmed inside. dash and window woodwork re-finished. new king pins. and lots of other small work. /p>

 

Main work still to be done. or use as is. some chrome needs to be re chromed. ie the bumpers and grill. the over riders and rear lights have already been done. and 1 of the door handles is brand new from Mercedes.

The head linning needs to be re-trimmed. as the old one has marks which will not come out (unless you know how to dye it).

 

The car runs and drives very well. it is obviously tax excempt and has the disc in the window with about 10 months left on it. As it was manufactured before 1960 it does not need an MOT but my son had one done anyway and it passed with no problems. it is only being sold as he has emmigrated and no longer needs it.

There are other pontons on here for big money. this one is a bargain. finish the work to your standard or drive her as she is. She always turns heads and people love to talk to you when you drive her.

Reserve has been set at a fair amount. no buy now but turn up with cash in your pocket if you are serious.

Car must be paid for and collected within 5 days of auction end. if you cannot do this then do not bid. sorry but lots of time wasters out there.

Wegen Corona ist eine Übergabe in England zu aufwendig.
