1964 Buick Riviera

Original dual quad matching #s Super Wildcat engine!  

 37. 58 Rivieras were produced in 1964.   Only 2. 22 had the Super Wildcat engine! You Do Not see these Riviera every day. Chances are you never see them at all. Not with this engine package and not as a factory original.  There are a few reproductions out there that have added the dual quad setup with a pair of aftermarket carbs or bored out the engine to meet these specs but. rarely do you see the real deal like this one.  Every major component of this engine and drive train are original to THIS car and the photos will show it.  The two factory Carter AFB 600cfm carburetors. the original air cleaner. the factory dual exhaust and the engine block are all original.  
This Riviera has been nicely restored to like new condition.  When FMC found this car over a year ago. it was sitting in a yard in upstate NY for nearly 10 years.  We purchased the car along with 5 other GM cars of the 60s. The other 5 cars were basic driver quality classics but NOT this one.  When we saw the two. four barrel carbs sticking up and out of the dual snorkel air cleaner. we started looking further. The carbs were original. We checked the engine codes; they were ALL correct & all major components were original. Somebody didnt realize what they had. Everything was as it should be for a real. fully complete Super Wildcat engine. When we looked over the body. we found a clean. straight 100% rust free body. We immediately got busy and stripped the paint down to metal and repainted the car in her original factory color. Desert Beige. She was treated to a new two stage polyurethane base coat clear coat finish so she shines like the sun. She has all her original metal. Chrome and trim are original and both shine bright. The rear bumper pieces have a few minor scratches but again. they are original.  The Super Wildcat engine package has a 425ci. 360hp engine with two. Carter AFB 600cfm carburetors. a neck snapping 465 ft lbs of torque and a 10. 25:1 compression ratio. The original Carter carburetors still have the tags on them.  Other factory components that separate this car from other Rivieras is a chrome dual snorkel air filter. finned valve covers. dual exhaust. posi-rear coupled to a Super Turbine 400 automatic transmission. one of the best designed and strongest GM transmissions ever developed.  
The factory dual exhaust sounds great and needs nothing. The car is extremely responsive when you hit the gas.  She starts right up and stops beautifully. There are no fluid leaks at all!  She is tuned. services and ready to run! The interior has all new seating. carpet and headliner. The dash is all original and has no cracks at all. The interior is completely new.   This car is an incredible piece of automotive history and a top notch example of a very rare and highly desirable classic car. The mileage on the working odometer reads 72. 00 and we will certify it as actual.  This car will certainly increase in value. There are very few REAL cars like this left.    

NOTE:The '64 Riviera with the Super Wildcat engine package was made exactly as the '65 Gran Sport but did not carry the Gran Sport name until 1965.

    

These high performance models were also one of the most luxurious cars of its day. They came fully optioned with standard features including AC. power steering. power brakes. power windows. power vent windows. power door locks. power seats. center console. wood grain interior inserts on the dash. center console and door panels. power antenna. You are responsible for the cost of all shipping and handling charges related to your vehicle.   FMC will gladly arrange for the shipment of your vehicle to Anywhere USA or Overseas at your request and your expense.   We work closely with several auto transport companies and will shop the best rate on your behalf.  You will be advised of our best rate prior to shipping the vehicle.   With your approval. nbsp;shipping will be arranged.   All shipping charges must be Paid in Full prior to the shipment of your vehicle.
