Available for purchase is a 1971 Porsche 914 1. 7L with the 916 wide body kit in exceptional condition. This meticulously maintained vehicle. which possesses matching numbers on engine. transmission. and chassis. comes with 40 years worth of service records and upgrades from previous owners. This Porsche 914 has a clear title stating 118. 00 miles (18. 00 on the dash) and the engine has been fully disassembled and serviced within the last 1. 00 miles. running like new. Separate mechanics have viewed this example and marveled at its condition. commenting it is near-perfect mechanically and visually.

As this is my personal vehicle I am fully aware of the pros. cons and a variety of upgrades and will do my best to list them below.

Upgrades and modifications:

916 wide body fiber glass in very good condition.  1. 7 engine with various Porsche 911 upgrades (i. e. spark plugs. etc. wherever possible). FI switched to dual carbs. exceptional throttle response and sound. Replaced tail shifter  with shoulder shifter. 5 lugg conversion with *genuine* Fuchs wheels.

Recent services performed (with proof of records/maintenance):

Full electrical inspection. cleaning. and relay switch replacement. All electrical components in this vehicle function as they should - with the exception of the gas gauge. 100 miles ago. Fuel pump and fuel line replaced. engine cooling and fuel pressure assessed. 800 miles ago. Carb adjustment. plug cleaning. gas tank removal and cleaning. fuel filter replacement. distributor points and ignition timing adjusted. 1. 00 miles ago. All fluids. belts and hoses checked/changed. 2. 00 miles ago. Battery and battery harness replaced 2. 00 miles ago. e-brake cable adjustment. front wheel bearings adjusted and repacked. all four tires replaced and repair to speedometer cable and selector shaft cover seals. 2. 00 miles ago.  etc. etc.  Everything in this car functions exceptionally well for its age - brakes. transmission. engine. exhaust. electricals. fuel system. and so on. However. as it is a 45 year old vehicle. there are a few nuances:
Getting into 1st gear is more successfully accomplished by first sliding the shifter into reverse. If I keep this vehicle. I will have the bushings replaced. While the e-brake cable has been replaced. I do not use the e-brake as it can sometimes stay stuck.  Rubbers all around are in "okay" condition; minor leaks on driver and passenger side door when washing the car. but not excessive.  Hell-hole rot exists - but it is the only place in the undercarriage. from a recent inspection. where rot exists. No where else to my recent knowledge. The rear rubber bumper that sits above the chrome should be replaced; the inside of the rubber bumper itself (not on the body) contains rust and for the car to be as close to perfect as possible. I planned on doing this over the winter.  The sun visor on the driver's side is a little lazy and likes to fold itself down during a ride. Not the end of the world. but. you know.  Driver's side seat has one tiny seam coming apart. I haven't noticed it until recently. but it's there.
Extremely solid car. exceptionally maintained. needs absolutely nothing. Pick it up and drive away. Would love for it to go to a good home. Baby on the way forces the sale.
Thanks for looking.
