For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1969 Pontiac GTO. This GTO is all go! Powering this street/strip muscle car is a 461 big block Chevy. The rat motor is equipped with Moroso rocker arms. a Crane roller cam. Solid engine mounts. Manley valves. and a 1050 Holley carburetor. The car is set up for Nitrous but has never been installed or ran on the bottle. Transferring the power form the engine is a beefed up TH-400 automatic transmission with a 10" converter controlled by a Cheetah ratchet shifter. Spinning the rear wheels is a Ford 9" spool with 4. 56 gears. There's a welded rear stabilizer bar to keep down any twisting motion form all of the torque. Wheels are wide chrome Cragers in the rear and skinny chrome Cragers up front. both wrapped in Cooper Cobra rubber. Slowing down is a breeze with front disc brakes and rear drums. The exterior is painted in a great shade of red with a nice gloss and features a Harwood scoop in a fiberglass lift off hood. The rest of the exterior is standard GTO. Inside is where you'll notice a roll cage and auxiliary gauges to keep an eye on the engine's vitals. Here's a true GTO that you can take to the track or just down to the local cruise in.
