Up for sale is an Authentic 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst/Olds Indy 500 Pace Car.

It is a true W 45 car.

It has 75. 75 documented miles.

This is an investment grade automobile.

This car is mostly original with all original Body Panels.

This is not a tribute car or a clone.

It is one of only 220 Hurst/Olds built with a sunroof in 1972.

Under the car is as nice as the interior and exterior.

It is a rust free body and frame California and Florida car.

This car is currently in a private collection in Indianapolis. IN.

I am representing this car for a friend that loves cars but hates computers.

As you will see in the pictures he has 2 authentic 1972 Hurst/Olds.

He has decided to sell one.

Overall if this car was a Corvette it would easily have TOP FLIGHT status.

It is easily a 93 point car overall.

Authentic Hurst/Olds is all in the numbers.

The Vin reads 3 J 57 U 2 M 211058.

3=olds J=Cutlass Supreme 57= 2 door hardtop U=455/250 HP dual exhaust

2=1972 M=Lansing. I

211058 is the build sequence number.

The trim tag (see pictures) reads from the top left.

The vin on the car and the trim tag are clearly original and authentic. (pictures)

This car drives. steers. stops and rides as it should.

There are no unusual squeaks or rattles.

There is no need for it to be a trailer queen although its rarity might cause a person to rethink the decision to drive it.

EXTERIOR

Exterior is in excellent condition.

I would rate it a 97.

The paint and decals are recent with no signs of wear or damage.

The parade flags are a nice touch.

The glass all seems original and in good shape.

The chrome and stainless shines and have no issues.

The factory rally III wheels have recent new radial tires.

All door jams and fender wells look factory new.

INTERIOR

Interior is also in excellent condition. with very little wear. I would rate it a 9. 0 because much of it is original.

It seems that the panels are original and the seat covers have been replaced.

The Tic Toc Tach works correctly.

It has a factory 8 track tape player and because he does not have an 8 track tape I do not know if it works.

The factory radio works great.

The car has factory A/C that works great.

The gauges and interior lights work correctly.

The carpet is new.

Steering wheel. column. dash. shifter and console seem original and in very good shape.

All weather strip is new.

MECHANICAL

Under hood is in near showroom condition.

I would rate it a 9. 7.

All factory stickers are in place.

This car is equipped with the original numbers matching 455/250 hp engine.

It has been completely rebuilt (pictures) The original vin on the motor match the vin on the car.

The car has power steering and power disc brakes.

The transmission is the original turbo 400 that has been rebuilt.

The rear differential still has the tag and is a 3. 23 10 bolt posi traction.

UNDERCARRIAGE

The undercarriage is in excellent condition.

I would rate it a 9. 4 only because it has been driven some.

It would be typical of a car that was driven say 2000 miles.

It still shows great.

This is the kind of car that would have mirrors under it at a car show.

All suspension. running gear and brake systems were disassembled. cleaned. serviced and reassembled.

I did check and it does have the original boxed control arms.

The fuel tank has been reconditioned.

The exhaust and running gear look new.

WHAT IS NOT PERFECT

I call it like it is and always describe what is wrong with my listings.

Here are the few known problems with the car.

I know of no others.

The sunroof does not operate.

Unsure if it is a fuse a switch or a motor?

There is some epoxy repair to the inside of the center console.

I am not representing this car as perfect.

If it was it would be a $100. 00 car.

I am fully confident that the car is fairly priced.
