1979 4. 3 Litre ELB CM Regal
Up for sale is an Aussie classic. With just 94. 00 km this CM Regal is a complete car with good… and not so good points… but with just a $1000 reserve. you're going to get yourself a Valiant!
The Good: Interior is spotless – no tears in the seats and a perfect dash pad (carpet's a little crusty). No rust in the sills. boot. lower quarters. plenum/firewall or doors. Strong gearbox and diff with no noises. Sharp handling and a smooth. smooth ride! This classic colour combination is topped off with a pristine vinyl roof.
The bad: The 265 Hemi is a little noisy and the oil pressure light likes to disco. There is some rust but it's not that bad. There's surface rust and dents on a couple of areas where the 90-year-old driver clipped a few obstacles (I can email more images on request). There's also two patches of rust at the rear window concealed by the vinyl roof. The rear bumper has a distortion on the rear left side.
The ugly: The paint is rooted! If you like patina… you're gunna fall in love. Seriously… I've seen less cracks in a nudist colony! But hey… it is what it is and you're welcome to come and see her in all her honest glory. The Regal's available for viewing this Saturday and Sunday morning in the Sutherland Shire. Sydney.
