1985 Toyota Land Cruiser

If you are looking for a nice clean fj60 that you can be proud of and enjoy for years. this is it. It runs and drives great and looks great to. It has a clean ca. title and has never been in an accident. Its an original California car and has spent its whole life in Sacramento and Gilroy.  The body and paint are in excellent condition and all of the paint is original. It has not had any body damage or rust repairs. It has a 3d carbon fiber wrap on the hood and the back hatch as well as body trim pieces and mirrors. It gives it a really cool and unique look. This truck is a real head turner. I get compliments on it every time I take it out. Its a true survivor and an investment quality vehicle that can easily be restored to show condition. However I hate to think of it as a trailer queen because its such a joy to drive! You probably already know this but anyway; The fj60 is considered to be one of the most durable and capable suv's in the world. ever. Proven and trusted when getting stuck or breaking down is not an option. in the roughest terrain of Africa. Asia. Australia. and South America.
Factory equipped with: 4spd manual transmission. true 4wd with locking hubs. power steering. power brakes. air conditioning. factory tool kit. tow package. work light. rear seat heater.
Aftermarket extras: tinted windows. H. I. D. halo headlights. fog lights. LED interior and dash lights. safari rack. stereo cd w/aux input. rear cargo 12v power points. carbon fiber accents. (removable)
The engine runs well. It doesn't overheat. The charging system works as it should. The oil pressure is perfect. It does not burn oil.  It has a manual choke. How much and how long you choke it depends on the weather.  in any case it always starts easily. It makes smooth and consistant power. There are no knocks or rattles or pinging. The smog control system is intact and functional. It passed the ca.  smog test in Santa Clara county. The exaust is intact with proper hangers and newer muffler and cat. The transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding or popping out of gear. The clutch engages smoothly with no slipping noise or chattering. The 4wd system engages properly and works as it should.
The suspension and steering work very well. The ride is smooth controlled and well damped with no excessive bouncing shaking or wandering. The power steering works well and is precise with no noises or rough spots. The truck maintains direction with minimum steering input.  
The tires and brakes are in good condition. There is  no steering wheel vibration or shake or noise when braking. It stops well.   The tires are Falken ziex light truck tires. Size 31/10. 50/15 They are mud and snow rated and work very well off road. They are biased more toward highway use but its a good compromise. These tires contribute greatly to highway stability making driving much more confident and comfortable and requiring much less steering input. The alignment is good.
The body and paint are in excellent condition. The paint is original and shiny with only one minor door ding on the right front door and tailgate. The carbon fiber trim has some cracking on the front of the hoods vertical surface. There are no dents or rust damage or repairs. All the glass is intact and unbroken. All the trim is present and in good condition.
The interior is original and in good condition. The seats are in great condition and fully functional with no stains or tears or burns. The driver seat shows signs of wear on the bottom cushion. The dash is in good condition all gauges and controls work well. The dash top has a crack on the top of the instrument pod and at the windshield where the pod begins to rise. It is not readily visible and still looks nice. The carpet is original and in good condition with the exception of the rear cargo area where the carpet is new. The seat belts are in good condition and fully functional. The door panels are undamaged and in good condition. The windows work properly with a bit of stiffness but perfectly acceptable. The tinting is in good condition. The heater works very well front and rear. The vent shifting works as it should. (floor to dash to defrost) The air conditioner works. All interior and dash lights work as do all exterior lights and signals.
That being said this is a 31 year old truck and is sold as is where is.  I believe  I have given a fair and objective appraisal of my truck but of course condition is always subjective. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need more info or photos. The air conditioner developed a leak according to my mechanic its at the evaporator core or a line to or from it. I can have it fixed. FYI.
A little more info. : You probably know LAND CRUISERS will go ANYWHERE but not anywhere fast. This truck will cruise comfortably at 70+ mph. I can send a video of me cruising on the highway at speed. In the video you can see the correct speed on the gps speedo and you will see the remarkably little steering inputs needed. This really is a very nice Land cruiser that looks great . runs great and is a pleasure to own and drive.    You may be wondering why I am selling my truck. Well I don't really want to but I have a 1971 911s that needs some restoration and its time to get it done. $$$$$!!
