A sweet running car – yes. this one is COMPLETE AND RUNNING.   In the last 1000 miles I have had all mechanical elements needing attention replaced or rebuilt.   A partial list includes:

            Cylinder head

Main and connecting rod bearings

            Upper and lower timing chains

            Carburetor

            Regulator

Clutch plate and pressure plate

Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder

Driveshaft flex coupling

            Radiator

            Generator

            Brake linings

            Brake master cylinder

            Brake wheel cylinders

            Complete exhaust system

I have also replaced the following interior and exterior items:

Seats completely redone. including rebuilt seat pans. new foam and new seat coverings in leather

New carpeting. floor mats and door panels

New Robbins Stayfast fabric convertible top (never been in the rain)

            New tonneau cover

The transmission shifts smoothly. the heater is actually connected (unlike most Giuliettas I have seen) and works well. and the gauges work except for the oil temperature and fuel level (may be sending-unit issues rather than gauge issues).

The paint and chrome were redone by the previous owner.   As you can see in the photos. both shine and give the car a nice look.   Up close. the paint has some spider webbing and has been touched up in some spots.   The jacking points are all solid.   The floors are solid.   I don't see any body work except for one spot of bondo on the bottom seam of the driver side rocker panel just behind the front wheel.   There is some rust in the trunk where the trunk floor meets the wheel arches (see pictures) and at the edge of the trunk.   These areas have been treated with Eastwood products to deter further spread of rust and. in fact. it has not spread in the 30+ years I have owned the car.   With these exceptions the body is solid.   You might note in the pictures that the hubcaps are from a 105 series car rather than a 101 series.   I bought it that way and never got around to changing them.   The radio doesn't work – but who cares; the engine is what provides sweet music.
