First time offered publically (except when on the dealer's lot new) for sale is this numbers matching V code 440 6 Pak Challenger

Original paint except the hood air inlet surrounds and the engine compartment.   These cars are only original once.   Original paint cannot be duplicated by a restoration shop.   The car was purchased new in Minnesota and never saw a winter.   This resulted in a unique combination of a rust free body in addition to not being burned up in a southwestern climate where most rust free vehicles are found.  The original dash pad is in excellent condition along with the interior with the exception of wear on the drivers seat.

This is a museum quality survivor

Original Vinyl top and black interior including high back bucket seats and console

Original build sheet was in the back seat springs. I removed for safe keeping

Engine was blue printed by Chuck Lofgren of Lofgren Auto Specialties @ 38. 00 miles as the previous owner thought that oil consumption was excessive.   Engine compartment was painted at that time with the intention of refinishing the rest of the vehicle after the mechanicals were completed but did not follow through.  A point of interest about Chuck: he won the Hot Rod Magazine Hemi Build Off contest back in 2005. Hard to find anyone better to blueprint a Mopar Engine than Chuck Lofgren.

Aftermarket performance components (headers. intake manifold. distributor. rocker covers. etc. ) were installed at the time of the rebuild but every original engine piece was retained right down to the air filter element and came with the car when I purchased it back in the late '90s for reinstallation if desired.

I know the two previous owners of the vehicle taking it back to within 6 months of new.   The car was purchased from Jerry Perkl's White Bear Dodge in White Bear Lake. Minnesota.  More details of the history of the car available upon request.

On a personal note I have been to several of the big auctions around the country and had friends sell and purchase vehicles from said auctions.   While I have enjoyed spending time at these events I have witnessed far too many horror stories on both the selling and the buying side of things to want to participate with any of my vehicles.   In my opinion. buying a high end vehicle takes more time than allowed at such venues unless the history and condition of the vehicle is established long before you got on the plane.

Anyone seriously interested in this Challenger should examine it in detail in person.

Reserve the right to end the auction at anytime for any reason as the vehicle is for sale locally

Thanks for taking a look.
