I have for sale my 1978 Ford F-250. I've owned this truck 5 or 6 years now. and really enjoy driving it. I think 1978 &79 were the best looking trucks Ford ever made. Had this one been a 4wd I would have had a/c installed and would have kept it. however. I have 4 and it's time a couple of them found new homes.

The engine in this truck was rebuilt by the previous owner. with the machine work done by Mallady's Machine Shop in Harrisburg. IL. This shop is well known locally. nbsp;as their work is second to none. Their business comes from surrounding counties as well as ours. They are also known on a regional level (IL. IN. OH. KY. TN. MO & More) Due to their many years of success on the dirt tracks. Why the owner didn't paint the engine before reinstalling. I don't have a clue. You can see by the pictures that there are no oil leaks. everything's tight. The tires are in almost new shape and are mounted on what I think are Western wheels. I installed a new gas tank. The heater core is bad. so I bypassed it. There is no muffler. I was going to put one on. but after finding out how much of a hassle it was to make it a 4x4. never licensed it. It's just been driven on the back roads around my house since I've owned it.

The interior looks like that of a 38 year old truck. with 95k on it. The seat is wore. as well as the seat cover. The body is in pretty good shape. as far as rust goes. The only rust on the cab are 2 spots on the bottom corners of the drivers' door (see pic). There is some surface rust on top the cab. but no holes. The bed has some rust in the floor. and some around the bed top. There are some dents and dings. but for a vehicle this year the body is well above average.

All in all this is a solid. dependable. sharp looking truck. An easy restore. or drive it like it is. I welcome anyone who wants to come see it prior to bidding. I encourage you to ask all questions up front. I check my computer in the mornings. around supper time and later in the evening. Be sure of what you're bidding on

Now for the business end. I require a $200 deposit via Paypal. within 24 hours of auctions end.  I will NOT accept full payment with Paypal. as their fees are so high. My preferred method of payment is cash at pick up. I just love those old pictures of Benjamin Franklin. I will accept personal checks. as well as bank drafts. however neither the truck nor the title will be released until the check clears my bank.  I may be able to deliver within a 100 mile radius. for $1. 25 per loaded actual mile. but contact me first.

Thanks for looking and good luck.
