1948 DeSoto S-11 for sale

This vehicle is as close to original that you will find. A very rare Custom Club Coupe with the 4 speed Fluid Drive transmission option that only the true MOPAR enthusiast would appreciate. The paint is a metallic base coat clear coat which has been professionally applied. This car has the original 6 cylinder flat head 236 cu. in. engine that produces 109 horsepower. All of the gauges work. The glass. upholstery and carpet are like new. The interior door trim is the original hand painted wood grain and is in excellent condition. The heater and clock work perfectly. The original radio is in place but is in need of repair. This vehicle is all steel and there is no rust or bondo. It has wide whitewall tires which are in excellent condition. along with having a spare tire which is blackwall. All of the chrome and stainless steel trim are in excellent condition. This vehicle is a California car originally purchased in Paynes Creek. California. The car is registered as a Historical Vehicle with license plates to confirm. It is a dream to drive. and the Fluid Drive shifts up and down as expected. All of the lights and directional lights work. except for the backup lite.
One very unique main features is the lighted hood ornament which is also very rare and works fine. although there is some distortion and cracking in the original clear plastic work. We are the 3 rd owners of this car since it was purchased new by a doctor in 1948. When this car was professionally repainted. all of the original wiring was replaced with updated 6 volt wiring and fuse block. The trunk is complete with a scissor jack and bumper jack.
