1962 Mistral-bodied Sabre Special Sports Racer Project with V5 No reserve for sale

This is my Mistral bodied Sabre 4 Sports Racing Special. It is based on the original Sabre chassis with modded suspension. It comes with the original V 5 log book for the chassis. The chassis now carries a pretty Microplas Mistral body which needs work to finish fitting etc. The chassis is currently fitted with a 4 cylinder but the project comes with a 3 litre 6 cylinder Mustang engine and gearbox which I was going to fit.
This would be. in my opinion a perfect power unit for this car. An exciting project with a lot of work to do but very worthwhile. It will be a very exciting sports racing special when finished. More photos avaiable but viewing and a chat over a coffee is recommended! A reluctant sale due to another pressing project!

The chassis is very early Reliant Sabre with matching v 5. Quite a rare model and one which evolved from the Sabra (sold only in Israel and the USA in small numbers) This in turn was based on a Les Ballamy LMB design with modifications to the suspension and steering. This now features Triumph based twin wishbone and coil overs at the front with rack and pinion and a conventional live axle at the back suspended on twin radius arms and coil overs with a panhard rod. A very traditional sports racing set up and adjustable too! The axle is stronger and I was confident it would take the power of the 3 litre Mustang engine which I was going to fit and which is included in the sale.
