It is with deep regret i find myself selling my mini.
If you know this car you will know how good it is. if not i hope you get the picture. it really needs to be seen to be appreciated. There has been a lot of my own blood. sweet. and tears put into this car not to mention money.
YES IT IS A GENUINE GT
The car has been subject to a full nut and bolt restoration during 2007-2008 hundreds of photos available. It is as clean underneath as as on top and has been kept in a garage in the dry except on mini runs. thats not to say it has not been used. its done two show seasons including castle combe mini action days which is where i have had the most enjoyment out of it. handling is awesome on a track.
It was also a front page feature car in mini magazine issue 154 December 2008.
Description
Body  1978 1275 GT finished in two-pack inca yellow including underside and inside. custom Scalextric  replica graphics. these could be removed if you so desire. Mini speed group 5 arches. black tex mirrors. lack handles and wipers with period 70s fins. Bumpers and under riders are the original items that have been re-chromed so are better than new and heavier than the new copies. All insides of cills. doors. doorbins. any where you cant see when panels are on were wax oiled.  PANELS REPLACED INCLUDE Most of the floor panInner and outer sillsDoor skins genuine roverBoot floorRear valanceA panelsThe rest of the shell had localized repairs to keep it as original as possible.
Engine  Slark race engineering built 1340 cc metro turbo block +0. 40. stress relieved.      Centre main strap. Med wedged & x drilled. ni-tempered turbo crank. Lightened flywheel and balanced crank assembly. AE212553 pistons. Stressed relieved. lightened and balanced turbo rods. ARP conrod bolts. Kent 276 camshaft and followers. ACL mains. big ends. thrust washers. Rebuilt Turbo gearbox with crosspin diff. centre oil pick up. Duplex timing gear. Turbo clutch. Uprated oil pump. SRE modified head fast road/rally spec. 36. 7inlet 29 exhaust valves. ouble valve springs. ronze guides. Maniflow LCB exhaust manifold. Maniflow 1 7/8 twin box. side exit exhaust system. SU hiff 44 carb on alloy manifold. K&N cone filter . Mini Spares Two core rad.
SUSPENSION Hi Lo. . Gaz shocks. 1. 5 fixed bottom arms. heavy duty adjustable ties bars. uprated bushes. Solid top and front subfame mounts. rear adjustable camber brackets. Subframes sprayed in satin black hammerite. Set up by Neil Slark.
BRAKES 8. 4 inch EBC drilled and grooved discs. refurbished calipers. mini fin rear drums. goodridge braided hoses. new copper brake lines.
WHEELS & TYRES 6x12 genuine starmags painted satin black. Yokohoma 165/60/12 tyres.
INTERIOR  Black Newton Commercial headlining and carpet set. refurbished door cards and dash. Original rear seat. front seats were trashed so it now has alfa romeo recaro black leather seats which are very comfortable. Refurbished steering wheel believed to be special tuning option with original GT centre in it i have the original steering wheel.


Mileage is 55659 i have a lot of the old mot certs and believe this to be genuine. 1600 before restoration so as you can see it has done about 4000 miles since restoration.


BAD POINTS There is a very small rust bubble coming through on the top inside edge of the offside wing. See picture 5  Fuel gauge does not work but i will try to fix this before i sell.
If you wanted a standard GT it would take very little to turn this car back and make into concours condition for showing.
I have tried to describe this to the best of my knowledgePlease don. waste my time if you do not have the funds in place
