1958 Austin Healey 100-6

This is a project Austin Healey BN 6 100-6 now for sale after quite a few years in storage. It has a factory fiberglass hardtop which has helped it weather the years of sitting indoors and probably reduced some of the natural fatigue placed on the chassis. The frame is OK - from the firewall to the trunk it is in very good shape actually. Forward of there it will need attention. The front-most cross member is rusted through on the bottom side and near the front lower suspension mounts it is also deteriorating. All the sheet metal fenders will need patching to the lower portions. many have been hacked on already. The front and rear shrouds have some deterioration in the edges. The front shroud at some point has been replaced by a Mark II 3000 - not sure why. the incorrect Mark II cloisonne badge is still visible in the photos. No front end damage to the frame or bulkhead is suspected or is there any evidence of. The hood is also off a 3000 and not the 100-6 middle crease style. though one is included in the sale as a spare. Boot lid is rusty. bottom edge is rotten. but will also include a spare. Floors are there and fair. Trunk area has held up well but has a few holes beginning. The rear bulkhead and area under the hardtop is really nice. The hardtop itself is complete with all the clamps and hardware present. Backlight is clouded up and has a hole or two. Passenger door was missing but a good replacement was sourced that has already been primed for paint.

The car rolls on its aged tires easily and steers without problem. Steering wheel and trafficator both appear to be originals. Dash and gauges all there as is the heater. No seats.

The original engine and transmission were removed from the car years ago. Included in the sale is a 100-6 block and later 3000 head - both of which will need rebuilding.

Correct side shift overdrive transmission is also available. unless you request otherwise. Other parts included. some are shown in the photos and some not. include:

Have matching number New York State transferable registration in hand. no titles were issued by the state for vehicles made prior to 1972.
