For your consideration is this 1967 MGB GT First Anniversary Special (1 of 1000) dealer optioned cars. I have owned the car for just about a year and purchased it in non-running condition. Since I have gotten the car I have done quite an overhaul on most parts of the car. To begin. the fuel tank was removed and cleaned of all old gasoline and put back in place. All lines were cleaned out and the SU carburetors rebuilt using a master rebuild kit from Moss For Motors. I have done a complete tune up on the engine including new plugs. cap. rotor. points. condenser. set the valve clearances and set the timing. The car runs and drives nicely and has just completed a trip from North Carolina to Pennsylvania and back with no issues to be had.

The suspension on this car has been mostly overhauled. Starting in the rear. I have replaced all of the leaf spring bushings with new polyurethane bushings. The limiting straps have also been replaced on the rear axle along with new poly urethane bump stops. The rear Armstrong lever shocks have been replaced with a mono tube shock conversion. In the front. I have replaced all the bushings using all new polyurethane bushings including the control arms. sway bar and the upper king pin bushings. The front Armstrong lever shocks have also been replaced using rebuilt units from Worldwide Import.

The brakes on the car were fully functional when I received the car. I have inspected the rear brakes and have found them to be recently replaced. The front brakes have been given new pads as well as new hydraulic hoses. I have bled the system completely of old brake fluid and have added new. The emergency brake works but the handle does not stay in position. It may just need the mechanism lubricated.

I have changed the oil in the car twice since I have owned it. It seems to not use any oil as it was not even half a quart low after my 1400 mile trip to Pennsylvania and back. I have also replaced the fluid in the transmission and the rear differential. All old fluid seemed nice and clean.

The car shifts as it should. The transmission is the non-syncro first gear transmission and it shifts very smooth. The clutch has been replaced within the last 6500 miles and the flywheel was resurfaced. The tires are in good shape and probably have about 50-60% tread left. The wheels have ben recoated and are in decent shape. They roll smooth and straight with no vibrations or wobbles at any speed.

When I got the car. the steering rack was shot. I have replaced it with a new unit from Moss Motors along with new tie rod ends. At the time of replacing. I also rebuilt the steering shaft u-joint as it did have a tiny bit of play in it.

The interior of the car is in ok condition. It does show its age some as it seems to be mostly original to the car. The door panels to have rip and tears and the carpet is faded around the rear wheel arches. The seat are in pretty nice shape for their age though the driver's seat could probably use the seat cushion foam replaced. The cover itself is nice.

The speedometer is non-operational. The tach works but seems to read high. The fuel. temp and oil pressure gauges all work correctly. The interior dash light. wipers. wiper squirter. head lights. brake lights. turn signals. side markers and license plate lights all work as they should.

The steering wheel and the shifter knob have some wear but are the original dealer optioned wheel and knob for the first anniversary special. The fender mirror and fender badge are also a bit worn but are original to the car.

The paint on the car is worn but looks great from 10 feet away. It has been resprayed the original pale primrose yellow at some point and has been touched up along the way. The paint does have its fair share of scratches and dings. The driver's rear fender has been touched up at some point and does have some visible masking lines as shown on the c-pillar next to the hatch. The chrome is in decent shape. The rear bumper has been dinged on one of the over riders and has been pushed in a little. This is also pictured. The glass is in decent shape but not perfect. The front windshield has a very small chip on the drivers side (the size of a pea) and the side windows have some scratches from being rolled up and down over the years. The windows roll down fine and I am currently installing new window cranks as the previous cranks were broken.

The car is virtually rust free. The floor pans and fender wells all look great as do the rocker panels. There is one small rust hole on the bottom of one of the battery boxes. That was the only rust hole I could find.

I have included pictures of all of the service records I have for the car over the years. I also have the original driver's handbook. distributor pamphlet and the service passport for the car. The service passport is stamped with the original owners information at the time of purchase. I even have the original stamp plate (can bee seen in the picture) with the original owners information that the dealer would use to stamp his service sheet with. The car was sold originally in San Francisco in October of 1967.
