1988 Honda CRX

I recently came across this all original 1988 Honda CRX DX. The man I pursuance it from was an older gentlemen who purchased it used with 40k Miles in 1991. Since then it has hardly been driven. It now has just 118k miles. Has not been driven for the last couple of years due to him purchasing a new Honda Fit.  
Anyhow. the car runs and drives great the way it is.  The ONLY thing I would recommend is new tires before a daily commute in this. The ones on it are not bald. just old.  If you are looking for a CRX to restore. this is the one. The rust that you can see in the pictures is mostly surface rust. The car at some point from 88-91 was hit in the drivers side rear quarter. The whole rear quarter was replaced with a factory one. Whoever did the paint work. did not prep it very well. The fenders do have some stains on them from what appears to be greasy hand prints that were not wiped off.  The interior is VERY clean (aside from the seats). The carpet is not wore at all. The dash does have a small crack up near the windshield. but it sill shines like new. The 88 specific door panels are in excellent condition. The rear interior cargo are is also very clean. The cargo cover itself is split into two pieces. but looks great. Even the Climate control is in perfect shape! Unfortunately. there is no radio. It has a ACURA Radio Block Off Plate installed. Though there are speakers in the door and rear area.  Inside is an envelope with several maintenance history receipts. including the purchase sticker from 1991 when the second owner bought it.  Under the CRX. the factory exhaust system was removed and and another factory exhaust from an Si model (dual tips) was installed. It was purchased new from Honda at some point and looks great! Under the hood. the engine is quiet as can be. Runs perfect. No valve chatter. No leaks. No smoking. Nothing. The AC is all still there. but the belt was removed and it will need converted to R34a.  
Overall this CRX is a GREAT starting point. Whether you want to restore one or drive it and get 40-45 MPG. this one is perfect.
