This beautiful Ferrari F40 Replica is powered by a mid engine mounted SBC 350 V8. like the original F40. The engine came from a Late model Corvette and was rebuilt by a performance shop for NASCAR circuit.

We used a brand new Edlelbrock Performance series 750 CFM carburetor on top of High Rise performance SBC 350 intake Manifold. 4 core high performance/capacity Aluminum Radiator. High performance electric water pump. all these engine parts were purchased new from Jegs.
The SBC is mated to a 5 speed Manual transmission with a performance SPEC clutch using V8 Archie adapter kit. Archie V8 master kit was purchased but some of the parts were not used. we opted to use better performance parts such as the 4 core Aluminum radiator vs 3 core from the kit. high performance electric water pump. remote oil filter ect. This was built on a 1986 Pontiac Fiero with clean history. I purchased the replica half  built with original Fiero engine and had the engine conversion done by a local performance/hot-rod shop

I also purchased many original OEM parts that will be included for the Dash conversion listed below
I have a replica dash and center console. OEM Ferrari F40 switches. OEM F40 switch-plate. OEM Ferrari gauges. some OEM Ferrari Lights. OEM Ferrari shift gate. I also had a Ferrari style engine cover made (still waiting the shop to return it and cannot promise if this will be included as it is missing with several other parts)
I also have s set of brand new powered C5 side mirrors. Fans. oil cooler and other parts that was not installed.
The F40 conversion is complete as shown in pictures. and the car runs and drives awesome (these kits are never complete as we all do modifications to them). This is a gear-head conversion car. This F40 Replica attracts lots of attention every where you go.

Please note: The mileage is unknown. specially with the engine transplant. This Ferrari F40 Replica comes with no warranty. As Is Where Is.
I have many OE parts and will include what I can find. since this was at a builder for few years and he has not returned all my parts.

Built on a 86 Fiero with a Corvette v8 with lots of performance parts (lots of HP) I also have bunch of OEM Ferrari parts for it including the dash panel. some gauges. steering wheel. replica dash. side mirrors ect ect.

 Question was asked
SO IS THIS A DRIVEABLE CAR RIGHT NOW? Are there any deficiencies such as overheating. bad brakes ( noticed the wheel chokes) Is there something that would prevent me mechanically to buy and drive as it is??

The F40 runs perfectelly. no noticeable deficiencies with overheating. Brakes are fine (not sure what you mean by wheel chokes) Nothing will prevent you mechanically to buy and drive it away.
Please note with any carbureted V8 and the new blend of gas now being sold there is the infamous Vapor lock issue. Below is what I replied to the question
"It runs perfectly. I just had a mechanic go through it and replaced the Ground and power cable and other things to make it awesome
He did mention that I should consider putting a spacer between the Carb and the intake to avoid the vapor lock issue in really hot days with the new blend of gas that is now being sold. I have it ordered. One other thing. The Lexan Glass rear window is really rare and expansive. It is solid peace without the vents cut out. I left it that way so if it rained the water wont get inside the engine bay. but that heats up the engine bay. I was going to remove the rear trunk and put fans but my mechanic said let the new owner decide what he want so do. You will need to either cut the Lexan vents out (like the real F40) or cut/ remove the trunk and put fans (I have the fans). I drove the car out on town last weekend evening (man this car attracts attention) with no issue.
Mechanic did say the new blend of gas is a problem with Carborated cars and steps needs to be taken to avoid the possible vapor lock issue

Josh"
