The 1969 GTX Convertible was Plymouth's "Top Of The Line" luxury hotrod.

This highly collectible and very rare automobile made by Chrysler Motors in 1969. is one of only 362 GTX convertibles ever produced with Chrysler's most powerful. Super Commando™ 440 CID Engine. 4 barrel carburetor with an extremely rare factory automatic transmission.

The Super Commando™ Engine in this GTX is the same. "feared through the 70's" reliable powerhouse engine. which. starting in 1970. Chrysler renamed for their entire "Muscle Car Line". The 440 Magnum™.

The 440 Magnum™ Engine. along with the Chrysler 426 Hemi Engine. were available as optional power plants for Chrysler's muscle cars in the ‘70's. including Dodge's Charger & R/Ts. Daytona Charger. Super Bird. Super Bee. Road Runner. ‘Cudas. and Challenger R/T.

Today. there are approximately forty-two (42). 1969 GTX Convertibles with this engine & transmission in existence.

Owners of this rare muscle car generally only take them out to show them.

This automobile is in great condition. I'd give it an 8 on a 1 – 10 scale.

I drive the car 2-3 times a month to cruise-ins and on Sunday drives.

I am the 2nd owner and have owned this GTX for approximately 30 years.

The Good. The Bad. and there is no Ugly.

The vehicle was professionally repainted about 25 years ago.

It still looks great. but not perfect.

No wrecks. no damage.

Interior: Clean with no tears.

Convertible Top: Clean. fully functional; no tears. no leaks.

The engine compartment has remained untouched.

Prior to my purchase of this vehicle. the engine was replaced with the same original factory engine. and as such. this is not a numbers matching car. (If original engine. this GTX value would be twice what I am asking)

This car is a joy to drive.

The car is available for inspection in the metro Atlanta. Georgia area to qualified buyers by appointment only.

Inspections will be conducted in a safe secure place agreed upon by both parties.

Cashier's checks are acceptable; however. possession of the vehicle only after the check has cleared and the full amount are verified transferred.

Proof of available funds or a Bank Letter of Credit may be required to test drive the car.
