Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 191 votes

The numbers:  Has fender tag that matches VIN.   No broadcast sheet.   Engine block is stamped 0A134455.   Transmission is stamped 2538301 2817948.   Could not find a core support stamp--should be easy to find. but could not locate it in the spot it should have been.   Trunk lip is stamped on driver's side with 2041301 and passenger's side with 2041306 the best I can tell although the passenger side is very hard to read.

The drive train:  Has what appears to be original HP 383. but date stamp on engine is 9-15-68 with part number 2468130-8.   It is topped with original-style Carter 4 bbl carb and breathes through correct HP exhaust manifolds.   It is a 727 auto on the steering column.   There is an 8 3/4" Mopar rear end. but unsure of the gear ratio.   Has ralleye wheels with good rubber on the car.   Original-style radiator.   Put new ( when we bought it) Year One gas tank on it.   Only thing that does not look original to the engine compartment is a brand new battery from Pep Boys this year.

The body:  Fender tag says the car was Air Grabber Hood car. but non-Air Grabber hood is on the car.   Car was re-quartered. rear window channel replaced. trunk floor replaced and I think the floor pans may have also been replaced before we owned it.   The driver's side torque box was repaired shortly after we bought the car as it was a little rotten.  We bought the car out of Missouri and I think the car may have sat outside there.   We had it repainted and decalled and the paint looks very good.  Hood stripe is painted on.  There are some minor nicks in a few places on the car and there are some bubbles popping out on rear quarters now--smaller than pinky finger nail on lower quarter and pin sized on upper quarter.   Rear quarter was rubbed on house door frame getting it out of it's resting spot this year and has minor scuff and slight dent on passenger side as a result.

The interior:  It is a bench seat car w/black interior.  Seat covers are not genuine Mopar covers. but look good.  Gauges all work and are original.  Dash pad and dash are good.  There's a factory cut hole for an air grabber hood. but equipment (to include hood) are not there.  Door panels are good.  Glass is all there and in good shape. but not perfect.  Factory "beep-beep" Road Runner horn works.

Overall:  The car has been garage-kept since we have owned it.   Never driven in rain or snow.   It is an incredible local cruiser that runs and drives nicely and draws lots of attention.   It has sat for the last 5 years and needs a new home and to be driven more regularly.   The brakes are soft and I would not recommend driving it great distances the way they are.   The car runs and drives very nicely other than that.   Shifts correctly. no overheating issues. choke is a bit of a pain in the butt after it has sat for a long time. but carb runs nicely other than that.   It is a solid #2/3 car that looks and sounds great.   Car is located in NE Ohio and available for inspection upon appointment.   I am not sure if the mileage is original or not.   I have a lot of pictures and can share more if you would like.  Title is clear and in hand.  Car is sold as/is. where/is--shipping is the responsibility of buyer.   Not big hurry to get it moved. but $500 deposit due with 24 hrs of auction close and balance due within 7 days.  Please call me with any questions at 301-919-6921.  I've done my best to represent the car accurately. but there has been work done to the car that was done before we owned it. so ask questions and assume only what is explained above.  It is a very nice car that is for sale locally. so we reserve the right to end the auction early.  Reserve is reasonable.
