1987 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500

Up for auction is my 1987 Chevrolet Silverado C10. This truck was restored around a year and a half ago and has right around 850 miles on it since the rebuild.   It has always been babied. taken to shows. and respected. It was built to be a show truck/something wicked to drive. It does all of the above. It would do well at a track. it would do even better driving across country. I had built it with the idea of possibly taking it on the hot rod power tour with my dad. but we have our eyes on building something even more sentimental. As I stated above. there is well over 30k in this truck and can prove it. If you know about restorations. you know how expensive they can be and how easy it is to get in over your head. I am losing money on this truck. but my loss it your gain. I am setting the reserve price on this truck to sell. This truck is extremely special. and one of a kind. It gets respect all over the internet. as well as in public at car shows.  It is a lot of peoples favorite square body truck around.  Details on the truck are below.

Engine- It came as a 4 bolt gm zz383 stroker crate shortblock with a Forged rotating assembly. Comp cam. roller rockers. nbsp;10:1 compression. on top is a pair of Aluminum 2. 02 heads. aluminum edelbrock rpm intake. 750 custom built/tuned holley double pumper carb built and tuned by siebert performance. This motor was built for 450 horsepower to the wheels. If you need more horsepower. you could throw on a 150 shot of nitrous if that's your thing. This motor would handle that with ease. It has always been babied but getting in it the few times I have. nbsp;I can tell you. it is fast.   Also. I have a chrome dress up kit for the motor if you want that as well. I have the black valve cover and air cleaner kit on it now.

Trans- built turbo 400 completely gone through. nbsp;documented. b&m shift kit. nbsp;coan 4000 converter. all done by Doyle at topeka transmission. It is also equipped with a hurst pro matic 2 shifter.

Rear end- 12 bolt with 3. 73 Richmond gears. full Eaton tru trac posi. all built by Doyle at topeka transmission.

Wheels-American racing outlaw 1s. Custom painted.

Tires- Fronts are cooper cobras. 275/60/15s. rears are 325/50/15s. Tire stickers all the way around which last over 40k miles.

Suspension- full belltech drop kit. 4. 5 front with drop spindles and Springs. and 4 inch belltech shackle drop in the rear. Also equipped with Calvert racing cal tracs. new Monroe shocks.

Full custom interior. Leather/cloth bucket seats. Power drivers seat. Pioneer stereo system. Tinted windows. Power windows. Custom door panels. Keyless entry. (door poppers) racing harnesses. Truck also has ac cab hooked up.

Cooling system- champion aluminum monster 4 core radiator. 16 inch high cfm electric fan (never needed. ) Mechanical clutch fan.

Exhaust- hooker ceramic coated headers. 3 inch piping. Flowmaster 40 mufflers.

Paint/body- house of kolor paint which is incredible. It looks like glass. House of kolor flake which is very subtle and beautiful. Front and rear roll pans. shaved tail gate. shaved door handles. shaved marker lights. shaved cab seam. shaved drip rail. leather tonneau cover. bed liner. custom all steel one of a kind 4 inch cowl. hood with built in gauges.

As seen above. the whole truck has been gone through and is absolutely stunning. It is meticulously clean through and through. It will make an amazing ride for someone.

850 miles on restoration. Extremely dependable. Runs very strong. Stays at 180 degrees in 105 degree heat without the electric fan even needed to be used. You could drive it cross country GUARANTEED!

Also. FUN FACT. 1987 was known as the R10 (instead of C10). its essentially the same thing but was called the R10 because it came factory with throttle body injection. Also said to be the last year of the true squarebody. This truck on paper is a true 1987 Silverado R10. making it a pretty rare piece. I also have the original tbi 305 motor on a stand that can go with the truck if the buyer wants to mess with it. Thanks. Happy Bidding!!
