1974 Pontiac Firebird

Muscle Car Garage:We are a private collection of 50's. 60's. & 70's muscle cars. We also do topside restorations in our Jacksonville and Orlando area locations. From time to time we offer one of our collector vehicles up for sale. These are mainly topside restorations that can be driven to local car shows and cruise ins. Many of our vehicles are previous trophy winners. We are not dealers just car enthusiasts who have been collecting cars for years and performing very nice driver quality restorations for all to enjoy. We are not a concourse restorer and many of our cars are trailered to events but most vehicles can be driven if your choose to do so.
All Around Details:Up for auction is our beautiful and rare 1974 Pontiac Firebird Formula. The complete drivetrain on this car has been all rebuilt including the Ram Air III 400 engine. nbsp;Borg Warner Super T-10 4-Speed. and the Rear Differential. Also restored is the complete interior from the carpet to headliner. The 15" PMD rallies were professionally restored and now mounted with new Radial TA tires. Exhaust is fresh from the factory ceramic coated Ram Air "D" port headers to the cross over Magnaflow mufflers to the correct stainless tip exhaust out the back. All front suspension has been replaced and new leaf springs in the rear. Car is equipped with power disc brakes. power steering. power windows. and factory AC (not hooked up but have some original parts that go with the car).  This car runs and drives exceptional. Paint is very nice and is the correct Chestnut Bronze. Car is rust free and is showable for local car shows and cruise ins. Engine Bay is detailed and correct with added billet pulley's. Aftermarket CD Stereo with remote has been added and has a nice sound. Everything works on the car as new except factory Tachometer.
Exterior Details:Firebird has very nice correct Chestnut Bronze paint. Not perfect but very nice and showable at local car shows and cruise ins. Car has functional Ram Air hood. Wheels are correct 15" PMD Rallies that were sent out and professionally restored. New BF Goodrich Radial TA tires were mounted less than 1000 miles ago. Stainless trim is in very good shape and new stainless exhaust tips out the back look fantastic. Car presents itself very well. is very solid. with no rust issues.
Interior Details:Interior is correct black with replaced headliner. carpet. sill plates. visors. and seating upholstery. Also installed new injected foam on both front buckets. Dash is in excellent shape with no cracking or aging. Gauge cluster is in very good condition and wood grain shows as new. Door panels appear to have been replaced some time ago as they are in great condition. Formula has new seat belts and added embroidered floor mats. All weatherstripping and seals have been replaced. Interior is in excellent condition overall and highly showable.
Engine Bay & Mechanical:Engine has been completely rebuilt with less than 1000 miles since rebuild. Bored 0. 20 over and added Competition Cam street cam shaft that can be heard through the all new exhaust. New 800cfm carburetor and HEI ignition was added during the rebuild. Also added new 4 core radiator to keep the engine cool on those hot days. Borg Warner transmission was completely rebuilt with master rebuild kit and then added Phoenix Friction dual clutch kit rated up to 500hp. Rear differential is 10 bolt limited slip and was rebuilt by a professional shop and installed 3:42 ring and pinion gears. The front & rear suspension has all been replaced including new bushings. coil & leaf springs. (including drop coils in front). shocks. etc. Fuel tank and lines are all new. Also all new brakes front & rear. Formula has correct Ram Air III "D" port factory issued headers that have been ceramic coated. Then all new crossover exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and correct stainless exhaust tips out the back for a great sound. Engine Bay is very clean and showable with added billet pulleys and correct functional Ram Air Cleaner. No dirt. leaks. or grime on motor as you can see in pictures. All electrical works including. headlights. nbsp;wipers. horn. turn signals. blinkers. tag lighting. interior lighting. gauge lighting. gauges (except factory Tic Toch Tachometer). power windows. and added custom CD radio. This was a factory AC car but all has been removed from the engine bay but could be added back should you choose to do so. All controls for the AC are inside. I also have the dryer and evaporator that go with the car as in the pictures. Mechanically this car is very close to as new. I believe you could drive this across country with no worries.
Summary:This is a great example of a rare Firebird Formula. They made many less of these than Trans Am's or standard Firebirds. This is your chance to own a rare collectible that you just don't see at car shows and cruise ins. This car's drive line has been completely rebuilt front to back. Equipped with a Ram Air III 400 and factory 4-Speed this car performs as good as it looks. There are no surprises with this car.
