Porsche 914 1975 RHD Needs Part Resto for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 705 votes
I'm selling one of my 4 Porsche 914's.
For those who dont know what a 914 is. Porsches 1st mid engined car. this is the common 4 cylinder version. Not the 914-6 6 cylinder that everyone craves. 914's are Targa tops. So the roof comes off. Google them if you want to know more. This one is a RHD car that came from the USA. It was imported into Western Aust in the 80's and was converted to RHD. It was registered up until a couple of years back. I bought it as a project car. but other projects are taking its place. So I'm selling it.
It's an injected 2 liter. 5 speed manual. It's very original. exception is the yellow paint job. I stripped it back to find it was previously grey and its orig colour is copper. This colour is very rare in that model. From what I found out. There were only a handful 1975 914's in copper.
Interior is complete. Needs new carpets thou.
Engine runs. Needs a tune thou. I have driven it from my workshop to where it now sits in my carport.
Rust. All 914's rust. Mainly under the battery. This car has bugger all rust. Very sound for its age. A few 914 mates have looked at it and surprised it has little rust.
Fuel tank is a custom alloy tank.
What does it need to be a good driver? A few $$ spent at places like pelican parts in the US for a tune up kit and maybe some window rubbers.
Paint. depends if you can do this yourself like I can. or send it to a spray painter.
This car is eligible for club reg. so it's a cheap car to get on the road. For under $10k you can own and drive a Porsche that not only handles ace. but turns heads. Parts. There is no shortage of parts for these in Aust and the US. All parts are avail.
Engine is basically a type 4 VW engine. With some nice bits.
Between the type 4 engine and the 911 parts bin. this car was designed and built.
The performance upgrades are endless. Many fit 911 engines or alloy V8's as a giggle. Starting price is what it owes me. I won't go lower and if it doesn't sell then ill relist it until it does.

If your driven with desire you could have this on the road for summer. Shipping. If you want to arrange the transport. Ill help out. But at your cost. Payment. Bank deposit. cash on pick up.
