EXTERIOR
This stunning Volvo is finished in striking Sea Green. (Code 115-1). and has an incredible deep gloss shine. The brightness of this example helps to show the many concave and convex styling lines which really are amazing.   Detailed photographs of a thorough restoration between 2005-2007 will ensure the new owner can enjoy this car with absolutely no expensive structural issues to deal with.   All the chrome is perfect with a deep mirror finish and all the badges and trim remain correct and intact.   Only one microscopic pimple can be seen on the passenger wing.  The engine bay has been detailed with a painstaking catalogue of removed and refurbished parts.   A fabulous show piece.

INTERIOR
With orthopaedic bucket seats finished in soft Brown/Cognac leather with Cream piping and contrasting Aqua deep pile carpets throughout. this interior looks wonderful.   Beautiful instrumentation which gives the driver ample information is clear.   The speedo makes an intermittent noise at 40mph.   The headlining extending back to boot area is perfect and tight.   A later dismountable Blaupunkt Denver SQM108 radio has been fitted and the clock has stopped working.   A practical and spacious 35 cubic feet boot area is immaculate and. as with the rest of the interior. expensively reupholstered.   It offers great versatility with the rear seats folded down. Practical. comfortable and luxurious.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Rock solid reliability. ample performance the B20E (high compression) engine has it all.   Technically advanced in its day with fuel injection and a computer this engine produces 125bhp and is very smooth with a five-main-bearing crankshaft.   Simple servicing and excellent parts availability will ensure the new owner can continue to enjoy this car for many years.   The four speed transmission is tight. precise and the clutch light.   The electronic Laylock overdrive engages and disengages faultlessly.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Period Minilite 15X55 alloy wheels have been fitted and are in excellent condition.   All tyres have ample tread.   The four wheel. power assisted. self-adjusting disc brakes are positive and bring the car to a quick. safe stop.   Incredibly the vehicle was even fitted with special rear wheel pressure release valves to ensure stability during emergency braking!

HISTORY FILE

Registered new on the 19th January 1973 this vehicle has only had six former keepers of which two were husband and wife.   A comprehensive collection of neatly filed MOT certificates helps confirm the mileage of 117. 58.   The previous owner Mr Goodwin embarked on a fanatical path to have the ‘perfect' Volvo 1800ES and from purchasing the vehicle in 2002 spent an eye watering amount of money restoring this car.   Every invoice has been filed to prove the incredible expense this vehicle has enjoyed.   Approximately 150 photos have been taken showing the detailed restoration.   Two A4 folders thick with history leave the next owner satisfied this vehicle can simply be showed and driven.
