1987 Buick Grand National for sale
Current customer rating: (122 votes ) based onThe last year for the Grand National was 1987. and as the final mid-sized. rear-wheel drive sport coupe. demand surged. It didn't hurt that 1987 was the 245-hp Grand National's fastest year. with 0-60 times of 6. 1 seconds. and a 13. 85 quarter mile at 99. 2 mph. Sales were comparatively brisk for the GN. and 20. 93 were built in 1987. 10. 00 being ordered in the last 6 months.
A one of kind Buick Grand National. This is a one family Arizona car. with technically two owners. I purchased the car from father in November 2009. he purchased it new in September. 1987 from Pitre Buick. I have every single piece of documentation including the original sticker and dealer purchase receipt. I mean every single receipt for everything ever done.
The car has never been raced or driven hard. Most miles are a result of being my mother's daily driver for 4 years. then became a weekend car. The car has always been garaged and taken car with oil changes and regular service. This car is not for everyone. and I will not give it away. But if you appreciate this car. you will appreciate the history and details I have. One example of this car not being driven hard is that the exhaust headers are original and not cracked. for those of you that know these cars. that is an indicator of not being driven hard.
The upside: This car has never been abused. raced or had any major modifications other than what is listed below
Details:
Gauges added for Temp & Oil Pressure
Kirben Performance Chip (also have original chip as well)
Bosch Injectors (have original injectors as well )
Master Cylinder converted (have original as well)
Transmission rebuild. with shift kit and stall converter upgrade took place in 2010
ALL SERVICE COMPLETED BY GRAND NATIONAL EXPERTS. No amateurs have ever touched this car!
Striped and repainted in 2010. There is a story to this. that included a minor fender bender. The accident took place at less than 5 miles an hour as result of the master cylinder failing while sitting at traffic light. Nothing to hide. full disclosure on any and all details. I also may be able to dig up photo documentation of every step. The grill. radiator and passenger side turn signal where replaced. ALL PARTS came from other Grand Nationals or OEM stock. I have documentation and can put a serious buyer in touch with the mechanic and body shop that did the work. I made the decision to strip and repaint the entire car while completing the repairs. The paint is near flawless.
The front seats have a seat cover that has been sown over the original seats as you will see in the photo. The cost of getting the front seats back to original material is about $1000 installed. I will take this into consideration in an offer. I am located in Tempe Arizona and can be reached via phone for to discuss specifics.
My intent was to put a little time into addressing every little detail. including the seats then sell for top dollar. I am running this add. to see if there is a price that makes sense for both a serious buyer and myself. I am not a distressed seller. but I am ready to let her go.Want to buy this car?
