Welcome to my listing for "Jesse". my 1971 1600 tax exempt narrow beam VW Beetle in Beryl Green with 10 months MOT and 78000 on the clock. Previous to my ownership. it was lovingly (and lavishly) restored to the show winning concourse condition that it proudly displays today. The bodywork is in near perfect condition with the utmost care taken over colour choice. The paintwork finish is of better quality than that of a new car freshly rolled out of the factory! Rest assured that the underneath is just as solid with not an ounce of rot anywhere (open to any inspection) and a fresh coat of wax oil recently applied 2 months ago should continue to keep it that way.   "Jesse" is also sporting brand new chrome bumpers front and rear. chrome wing mirrors. head lamp surrounds and a new rear tow bar to match. In each corner brand new 15" Porsche Fuchsia replica alloys along with a full set of tyres fitted just two months ago.   The interior is of a similar story with a complete refurb in the shape of new cream leather front seats and rear bench seat. The previous owner also installed a new sea grass style carpet which works really well with the colour scheme.    Other extras include a rear Venetian window blind (very rare). bamboo dashboard shelf. classic white 2 spoke steering wheel and drinks rack. As "Jesse" was used for my wedding car business. I would usually have a mini bottle of Cava this drinks rack along with two Champagne flutes all ready for the nervous bride to be!  The dashboard is uncut which is a rarity for bugs of this age. Alas. I have not installed a stereo due to the worry of potentially damaging the dashboard.    The engine is a fully restored 1600cc with oversized Pistons. hence why he pulls like a train on speed. He runs beautifully with no issues and is checked over regularly.   As beetle brakes are known for not being the sharpest on the best of days. they were upgraded to discs which are the best improvement you can make to old cars with drum brakes.   He drives spot on with no knocks. bangs. squeaks or smoke and all four gears and reverse are correct and presenting change well without issue. (Albeit a bit new and tight if anything!)  He could genuinely be used as an everyday car if you so wished to. it is most definitely not a '0-60 eventually' bug like they used to be. but more of a wolf in sheeps clothing.  Always manages to turn heads and attract vast amounts of attention wherever we go. Will be fantastic to take to all the big VW shows and festivals across the country and will no doubt be in the prize ribbons every time.
Comes with a folder stacked full of service history (please see photo. )
As a quirky refurb feature. he was installed with push start button instead of a key ignition start. Most definitely a modern twist on a classic car!
A hugely reluctant sale of my bug. but new ventures planned in the near future means he has to leave us to find a new loving home. STRICTLY to a good home only that will continue to maintain this Beetle to the highest of standards please.  A fantastic future investment for somebody with excellent storage facilities.
NO TIMEWASTERS PLEASE.
Thanks for taking the time to read my advert. if I've missed anything or you would simply like to know more or arrange a viewing please phone Chris on 07969361041.
