This Spanish Red beauty boast a numbers matching high compression 400 cubic inch V 8 engine factory rated at 350 horsepower and an incredible 440 lb. ft. of torque! This powerful setup propelled the 68 Cutlass 442 to 60 miles per hour in 6. 5 seconds. and through the quarter mile in 14. 1 seconds at 103 miles per hour. The 400 CID V 8 engine is backed by the classic Turbo 400 automatic transmission. which is known for its strength and reliability. The power is put to the pavement via a posi-trac rear end! The name “442” came from these being muscle cars with a 4 barrel carburetor. 4 speed transmission. and dual (2) exhaust. They came equipped with red line tires. better handling suspension. and 442 badging on top of the upgraded power numbers.
