Silver with a brown check interior.  The car is in excellent condition. has been in my possession for the last 22 years. & always garaged. I have all the MOTs issued & a record of all work that has been carried out on the car since is was new.  The wheels were refurbished 15000 miles ago. & the tyres are the correct 215/50 with about 4mm of tread. Major work carried out 7000 miles ago by Dialynx. (one of the foremost quattro specialists in the country) was: new fully built head. pistons with all bearings. clutch & replacement of all the bits  associated with an engine out rebuild. The ECU was upgraded to 250hp after a 6 month running in period. Non standard or non working bits:The previous owner installed rear speakers. & new wiring to the front speakers. The wiring by-passed the voice synthesiser. so I cannot say whether it works or not. All the original wiring is still in place & available. When the engine was being rebuilt a replacement gearbox was fitted. This is off the later torsion dif. model which has a slightly different routing for the differential lock cable to the front dif. & remains unconnected. It would require some straight forward fabrication to route the cable onto the lever that operates the lock. A glass sunroof was fitted when it was fairly new. & I had it overhauled a couple of years ago. so no leaks. An after market air conditioning system was fitted at some point. The gas used in these systems is no longer available (CFCs) & so I have removed the belt. To get the system running again would require a compressor that is compatible with the new gas to be fitted.
