1960 GMC Pickup Long Bed Custom. original Texas farm truck. Body off garage restoration. Original 305 V 6 with Factory 4 speed on the floor. While body was off. the frame was cleaned and treated with POR 15. and the front cross member was converted to a 71 Chevy to upgrade from the original torsion bar suspension. Also at this time. brand new exhaust . uel lines. and brake lines were installed. including a four wheel disc brake conversion. after the body received a two tone paint scheme with high solids primer and single stage white paint she was put back together with all new glass. seals. headlights and taillights. An all new wiring harness was installed along with a newly recovered bench seat with fresh foam padding . The interior also got treated with new dash speakers an a cd radio and seat belts. Mechanically the original 305 V 6 was cleaned and given a fresh coat of paint. The valve cover gaskets were replaced along with the upper intake gaskets. The carburetor was rebuilt and the radiator got a new core and pressured tested. The brake booster was replaced and hydraulic assist for the clutch. The slave cylinder. also was replaced. Out went the generator and in with an alternator. the starter was refurbished and new solenoid was installed. The front steering components were replace with new. the front is lowered with drop spindles and springs while the back was done with lowering springs and blocks. New shocks and steel wheels wrapped in 235/60 R/17 rubber round up the four corners. Out back a welded in roll pan and seventy five year old barn finish off that custom look.
