The FJ40 was a rugged two door 4x4 vehicle with amazing off road capabilities and rather primitive interior treatments. The new tan top is paired beutifully with the red color of this off roader. The top is also removable so open air cruising is a possibility. FJs came without carpet and with vinyl upholstery so even if youre out in the mud and in the elements theyre easy to keep clean. The front sports two bucket seats and the rear has jump seats which can be folded aside for more cargo space. Under the hood of this particular Land Cruiser youll find the original 2F Inline 4. 2l 6 cylinder engine which is backed by a 4 speed manual transmission and a 4x4 transfer case. Stout axleâ??s front and rear and original off road tires will take this thing just about anywhere you want to go. This FJ was totally restored to its original specifications just like it rolled off the assembly line from Toyota in 1976. The restoration was detailed and meticulously done with almost every single nut and bolt touched and refurbished. All the underside and frame was rust free and the body panels painted their original red color. The engine and transmission were in great working order but received a tune up leaving the vehicle ready for the trails or to cruise to the beach with the top down or perhaps to an off road event! This FJ would make a great weekend runabout or a daily driver although considered very basic on the interior amenities this truck will put most new 4x4s to shame off pavement. Vintage 4x4s are in high demand and most have rusted away to nothing. Luckily this Toyota has been well preserved and is ready for many more years of duty.
