Up for sale is this beautiful 1970 Mercedes Benz 280SE! This 280SE is a W108 Chassis Mercedes which is one of the best models they ever made. It is fitted with their bulletproof 2. 9L Straight 6 cylinder mechanically fuel injected engine. This fuel injected motor is easily one of the best motors they ever produced and far superior to its carbureted counterpart. This 280SE has all the right bits. ICE COLD AC. but no sunroof or power windows which are often very picky. Its 4-speed automatic transmission shifts well. all lights. gauges. buttons. switches. etc. all work as they should! Stunning color combination that is rare and desirable. NO RUST and an original California blue plate car! This 280SE was sold new in San Jose and never left California until it was shipped here to TN. Comes with both original blue plates as well as a clean CA title and original books! These cars are getting harder to find in this "high driver" condition. This is not a show car. but rather a VERY presentable driver! Loads of recent maintenance include an electronic ignition. spark plugs. capo. rotor. new brakes all the way around. new rear shocks. engine oil service. transmission fluid service. rheostat (dash lights were out but now they ALL work!) etc. It starts right up and drives great! I have put about 2. 00 miles on this lovely W108 over the last couple months. It does have some blemishes here and there. the worst of it being the chips on the front end. but the paint still shines very well and turns a lot of heads! The interior is in fantastic original condition with only a few small blemishes here and there. Please refer to the pictures for exact condition. Headliner is mint. carpet is excellent. original wood is in presentable unrestored condition. etc. The odometer was not working when we received the car so it was replaced with a near new low milage unit that works flawlessly.
