This is a rare one. Equipped with original dealer-installed track-pack components including special carburetor shroud and air ducts. air scoops. relocated horns. battery in the trunk. correct camshaft and the original (non-repro. impossible-to-find) red plastic fender wells. These parts made it virtually identical to the W-30 cars that were produced earlier in the year. All these parts are original non-reproduction except for the paper air ducts (the originals had rotted) and the battery cables (the original negative cable is included). The left fender well has a small notch for the headers that were once on the car. but the only way to see it is by lying flat on your back. Also included are the vintage "slick shift" transmission sliders that were used to make it into a full-race trans. These were replaced when the trans was rebuilt.

Apparently ordered for racing. the only options are the close ratio 4 speed transmission. the Anti-Spin rear axle and the heater delete. It is the lighter post-type sport coupe body style. There is no owner history or other documentation on this car. It was built in Michigan and obviously spent its life in a dry climate. The off-the-frame restoration was done in the early 2000s and it has been driven a few hundred miles since then. The tires are reproduction redlines but they are about 16 years old and should be replaced even though they're not cracked or damaged. The original rear axle was replaced long ago and the exact replacement was rebuilt including a new posi unit and gears. The part numbers on all other components are correct. It has the correct Harrison radiator and the factory water pump. The date code on the starter is from about a month after the car was built and may be a warranty replacement. All other date codes are prior to the car's build date in July 1967. The engine block and the distributor date from December 1966 and might not be the ones original to the car. The shocks are Delco spiral (NOS in the rear). the shifter boot is original. the steering wheel was rebuilt as new. The exhaust system is a Gardner exact repro including the factory resonators. The dash pad was expertly rebuilt and the shifter was rebuilt by Hurst. The instrument panel was refinished by professionally vacuum plating as per factory. The camshaft is a copy of the factory W-30 cam. The engine is stock and runs well. The distributor was internally converted to electronic. but the original parts are included. The original R code wheels are included but the car is on repro SS wheels now. The headliner and the seats were redone in the original (not reproduction) new-old-stock fabric so they feel perfect. The sewn-on seat belt tags were reproduced and sewn on as well. Many of the hidden parts have reproduction part-code stickers and inspection paint dabs.

The car drives fine but was mainly driven to shows. Remember - no A/C. heat. power steering. power brakes or radio! This was a very thorough restoration and there were many more NOS pieces used. The original dog dish hub caps are included and they are in excellent condition. Everything works including the back-up lamps. The car never had any rust except for a half  square inch under the windshield flange that was left as is after being properly treated. The paint is very nice single stage urethane with factory stripes that were painted on using original specs.

This car has sat in the garage with a cover on it. rarely being driven for years. The shows I used to attend have changed or disappeared and I hate to let it just sit any more. In-person inspections are encouraged or contact me for additional pictures or information.
