Perfect Car for the summer - just needs backdating to original panel work
As can be seen. this car. like many others of the period. has at some stage been turned from a long bonnet car into a 80s style Carrera. Structurally the car is completely sound and needs no work whatsoever. The underside is completely solid. The current panelwork is also extremely sound and so. in theory. the car could be used as it is. However. in reality. the true value of this car would only be achieved by bringing it back to it's original shape and colour.
So. to bring this car back up to it's true value. it requires a panel refit. Original period wings. and bonnet; front and rear bumpers; plus the slam panel which has been replaced as an entire front clip. Then obviously the car needs to be returned to it's original colour. a colour that is much better suited to it and is very period and ideal for a Targa such as this. And great for the summer!
The car starts and runs fine but could probably do with a service.
There is a Certificate of Authenticity with the car and all import duties have been paid.
A cheap way to get on to the long bonnet. classic Porsche ladder. where prices seem to increase exponentially. A simple spring project. resulting in a fabulous car to drive in the summer.
The car can be viewed in Surrey. It is in a lit workshop. with a ramp so the vehicle can be examined carefully from every angle. For more information please call Darren on 07836 734477
Please note that the last picture is taken from the internet and simply shows how the vehicle will look when returned to original (although the example in the last picture appears to have an S front bumper. not a standard one)
