Quite possibly the best mk 2 escort around. this is a true gem of the era.
And even more rare than its manual version. this 1979 mk 2 ford escort 1. 6 Ghia automatic is just beautiful. a true collectors dream.

It has covered a mere 8000 miles. you read it right 8000 miles. Warranted with service history.

The car started out being given to a company directors mother for pottering about the island until being dry stored in 1981. when in 2015 it was taken out for the first ever mot of its life.

This original. unmolested car is immaculate. the car is in showroom condition with no signs of wear. Its like its been frozen in time.

Obviously a few things needed to be changed to pass the mot. Tyres. brand new firestones were chosen. with addition new brakes and the water pump was changed with the radiator being reconditioned.
The lacquer was letting this beauty down and had started to mist so a fresh coat of paint was applied.

The freshly serviced engine sounds amazing and the car drives like its brand new.

To recap. we have a 4 door 1979 mk 2 ford escort 1. 6 Ghia with an automatic transmission in immaculate condition.

2 owners from new including myself. with 8000 genuine miles.
