1974 MGB Roadster
This car has been rebuilt from the ground up and modified with a 2 Litre Nissan SR20 EFI engine and 4 speed automatic transmission with electric overdrive. If you want the early classic look with the reliability of modern day handling and performance motoring then this car is the ideal choice. It has had over $15. 00 worth of receipts spent on modifications and reconditioning. The total investment on this project was a lot more than what the current starting price is listed at.
It was a labour of love for a special person who loved the car but can no longer use it. Everything on this car has been replaced including all the brake discs. calipers. pads. rear linings and brake drums. Suspension. steering wheel. exhaust. roof. alloy wheels. tyres. differential. dashboard. instrumentation. wiring loom. seats. door trims. door locks. cooling system. motor. gearbox. tailshaft. indicators. headlights. tail lights. paint. glass. grille. bumper bars. 60 Litre drop down large capacity fuel tank. efi fuel pump. all rubbers and the list goes on and on.
It has a push button start and has a CD Tuner sound system hidden in the glovebox. The car starts first shot and it drives superb on the road. It handles and performs very well just like a new sports car with the old world classic look and charm. No money needs to be spent on this car.
We have taken the car to a few car shows and it turns heads all day. It comes with a space saver spare wheel and the car has MGB insignia courtesy projector lights which light up the ground when the doors are opened at night. The car is fitted with LED Interior lights and remote control door locks and security system with immobiliser.
NB: If you are a purist and don't agree with modifying an MGB and don't want to experience this old style new feel road handling car then quite simply don't bid on it. But if you love the style and want modern reliability and power then this car is a must. It will not disappoint you in any way. It has been modified professionally and at great expense.
