During the post-war period. BMW faced several challenges
re-building its car manufacturing industry. but due to sheer
determination and forward thinking developments in design and
manufacturing. it started to evolve. In the early 1960s. BMW
launched the 700. succeeding the 600 as the first BMW model built
with a monocoque chassis; initially available in both two-door
saloon and coupé versions with a convertible option added later.
The rear-mounted. flat twin-cylinder engine was an ingenious design
displacing 697cc. with a single Solex carburettor developing 30bhp.
Improved brakes and rack and pinion steering gave the 700 excellent
driving characteristics. Later variants included the 700 Sport with
twin carburettors and the Luxus on a longer wheelbase. In total. br/>188. 11 were built in five years of production but relatively few
survive today.

This BMW 700 Sport coupé is owned by a very knowledgeable
enthusiast and is being sold sadly. for health reasons. Registered
on 25th January 1963. this is a genuine UK righthand
drive example and as such. is a very rare model. This interesting
BMW started 'on the button' during our demonstration. with the
engine sounding superb. Having undergone a restoration a number of
years ago. 627 NNK remains in very good order and drives with no
known faults. In-car heating was always a problem for these cars
and this has been fitted with an Eberspacher heater for greater
comfort. Supplied with a V5C registration document. a current MoT
test certificate. original buff log book and a comprehensive
history file. this is currently sitting on larger wheels and tyres. br/>however. the original steel wheels and steering wheel are supplied
as part of the sale. This interesting. slightly quirky BMW is
perfectly useable and will certainly stand out from the crowd at
any classic car show.

I hope you are not in trouble with the rising water and I would like to ask you some questions about the BMW 700 Coupe. Sorry for the bad English...
Is there any rust and in which state is the bodywork? Is there a lot of surfacing preparations with plastic? Was there an earlier accident?
Does it run and brake? Could I drive to Germany by itself?
Is it thight or does water come inside when it is raining? Does it smell inside like a mold?
And could I get some more pictures of it?
I would like to get an answer from you!!!
